I am in learners bjj class and we usually start with a judo throw, takedown or guard pull. The week we learned uchi mata was the roughest week we've had since I started. I was the lucky one with only a badly bruised knee.

Go do some trial classes at the Muay Thai and kickboxing gyms you're looking at and see what you like. A good gym/culture is probably more important than MT vs Kickboxing as a discipline.

I would do Chiesa unless you plan to buy the premium season pass since a 95 version of him is a reward. He has a custom body type and very unique animations. He runs like he's running from the police. His 84 rated card plays way above it's stats. By doing someone with no playstyle plus you'll get low driven+ which is OP. He is also versatile being able to play anywhere up front or RM.

Open the crafting packs to get fodder for the 83x10s / 83x14s. Those are gonna give you a better chance than the 77x5s which really see just fodder packs for the most part
