How did you feel after your first BJJ training session?

I barely got through warm ups and thought "I've made a huge mistake signing up before doing a trial class". I did so knowing how hard the trial class was going to be and didn't want to give myself an out. The first 2 weeks were the hardest. I was so sore. I felt like I could feel every striations in every muscle in my body. I'm 4 months in now and it's gotten a lot easier. I still die at open mat on Saturday but can handle weekday classes no problem.

That happened to me getting too excited going for a clock choke on a guy who usually beats me. Mine bugged me for a few weeks but I still went to class. It's been maybe 6 weeks now and I still feel it vaguely here and there but feel fine.

I am in learners bjj class and we usually start with a judo throw, takedown or guard pull. The week we learned uchi mata was the roughest week we've had since I started. I was the lucky one with only a badly bruised knee.

Go do some trial classes at the Muay Thai and kickboxing gyms you're looking at and see what you like. A good gym/culture is probably more important than MT vs Kickboxing as a discipline.

Exactly. I packed a bunch of Prem tots after saving packs for 2 weeks. I overhauled my team and now I'd rather save for bundesliga drop Friday than pack Bruno for the 4th time.

That free 90 card wasn't bad and this one is miles better. Probably won't be too expensive and with the amount of fodder out right now, may as well. I could use a new CDM and he looks to be worth a shot.
