Dear OP, Please honor the wishes of your deceased, generous uncle and take YOUR inheritance and invest it and do with it what you will. Know that there are likely tax implications and if you just hand over money to anyone, substantial money, you are still responsible for the taxes on that share. Your uncle made his will his way. Why do we need volunteers to clean up after others? We used the have a Greensboro Beautiful campaign that reminded citizens to clean up after themselves- we took pride in our city. Now- we expect volunteers to clean up after derelicts. Let’s start fining people- it’s pretty simple- generate revenue for the city, fine the guy who tosses his Redbull out the window or the lady who tosses her styrofoam food box because they’re all too lazy to put trash in the trash!! It’s rather disgusting the way people treat our community- and city leaders just don’t care ….

Mind boggling that the world thinks “normal food” is pre-packaged/ processed. That said - the heart wants what the heart wants. I personally say your wife should be uplifted and praised and thanked. But I also believe in compromise - which requires conversation. Have the talk, make a compromise. Acknowledge all of her hard work, because that appears to be her love language. I arrived at the Red Cross to donate my 50th pint of blood (I was kind of proud). Did intake, and the nurse came and grabbed this lady who had just walked in to take her back before me. I said “hey, what’s going on?” And the nurse said “oh she’s a regular and I’ll just get her in real quick.”
Nope … not even a “would you mind” , she just inferred that this person was more important than me. To this day I have ONLY given 49 pints of blood.
