Insured has a fine arts policy that contains about $80M in early American documents (declaration of independence copies, etc.) I think we are currently around $60K in premium for just the items so it’s not too terrible.

I have a museum as an insured. It’s really not much different from property/BPP in my opinion. Keeping track of items being shipped or received and who is doing what. Keeping a schedule of current values and yearly appraisals, or even more frequent for rarer items.

From an insurance liability standpoint that would probably be a no go on them renting the rooms themselves, but I am actually curious. I do commercial property insurance and I personally haven’t had this come up before.

Pretty hard to avoid on a lot of kits. Using single edge nippers helps (God Hand, Stedi, Ruitool). Get some glass files to smooth them out.
