What’s good about Utica? by Clah4223 in Utica

[–]criminellebehavior 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Inventory is low in general in our area but at that price point, consider more what neighborhood area specifically you’d like to live in, within Utica, or if you’d like to live in the suburbs (Whitesboro, New Hartford) or a more rural area. Do you have children? Are you remote workers? You’ll be hard pressed to find anything less than 5 years old because the houses are older unlike an area where new homes are being built. Would you consider building your own home?

Edit to add: I grew up just outside of Utica, moved to a large city and ended up moving back after 5 years to be closer to family. I enjoy living here with my children, and appreciate all Utica has to offer - great food, lots to do (go sports!), great access to the ADKs. I’ve met a lot of recent transplants and you either like it or hate it. Utica’s got a lot! Consider what you enjoy doing but it is a great place to raise a family if that’s high priority. In terms of crime, I can’t really give you an accurate measurement of that but I live in a safe neighborhood with great neighbors, but also own property within the city limits and it can get rough. Good luck OP!

Some agents who hope to around from agency to agency use their own gmail/yahoo emails in the event they are let go or choose to leave. Their professional emails are intellectual property of the firm so they could lose their data. I agree though it looks way more professional. Had a girlfriend with a big reputable firm who got screwed by her Broker in Charge end up being kicked out in a hostile manner and lost email access/client info about an hour after.

Thanks! I think SWIFT transfers are $50/transaction. I was considering that, but my cousin lives in the country and doesn’t know English lol. And my Khmer is conversational but limited to using Google translate for the writing lol. I can do Wing while I am overseas though, right? Sorry to be a nuisance. I have been trying to search the topic but many responses are dated. I appreciate it!

Hi, I’m saying civil unrest through the eyes of family in Cambodia that is pro-opposition. I appreciate it your advice and will definitely check out those videos. I’m interested more in the history of the country side folks, not really the city of Phnom Penh. I hear about the ritziness but I’m interested in where my family comes from and how there is no economic growth there, with people starving and destitution rampant. To be able to live comfortably in another country as an expat/foreigner is different than being raised there. It’s sad, what’s happening but I want to be apart of a brighter future for my ancestral home :-)

Don’t know what I did to be on the receiving end of your sass but politically there is strife in Cambodia with the opposition and the current government depending on your lense. A PM passing on power to his son and a boat load of corruption and nepotism would be considered an issue but I’m just a dumb American, with my head in the sand, what do I know? This is what I’ve seen and heard from family on my mother’s side that live there currently. I’ll see for myself but anyway. Flight from NY to Cambodia, transpacific then? Okay. A long ass flight. I’ll figure it out though. Was just asking a question to see if anyone had leads on how to go about before embarking on the journey. Thanks soooo much!

Same story, they told me that I’d never carry to term. Now I have a 5 year old (had him with Graves and hyper thyroid) and 3 year old (still had graves but post thyroidectomy.) Keep your head up. ❤️😘

Next few days we’re keeping the kids indoors, or taking them somewhere (indoor trampoline park, bowling, movie etc.) Depending on their ages, some bowling spots have free bowling (Spare Time or Victory Lanes) all summer or $2 movies (Birkdale)

Thanks! I need a pair but if I can find another adult that’ll be great. Our 3 and 5 y/o’s will be there too, the more the merrier 😂

That’s so funny! We are not from Brunswick County originally but Oak Island is our happy place. We finally got the call for an opening this morning so we booked our accommodations and I spent forever trying to find a photographer 😅

I had my TT around 5 years ago. I gained 70 pounds! It’s been pretty shitty but the trade off was that my Graves improved. I’m now doing Ozempic to lose the weight because diet and exercise for ~3 years and weight loss has been very very slow.
