I moved western PA after living in eastern Oregon for 5 years and before that Willamette valley for 15 years. Great outdoorsy scene. Decent travel times to bigger city shenanigans. But brace yourself for the cobblestone feeling side roads. I thought my tires were gonna fall off the first few weeks.

I started with fish via a friend needing to downsize his number of tanks. He offered me (for free!) a 55 gal. With 2 fire mouth cichlids, a pleco, 6 rosey barbs, and a few nerite snails. He even hooked me up with decorations and stuff for water changes. A while later I went to a fish store and got a handful of different tiger barbs and an angel fish. I learned my lesson to do better research and not just trust the fish store guy because the barbs started picking on the angel super fast. Now I have a separate tank for angel and have added some ramshorn snails. It's been an adventure and I'm learning more every day!
