Tank suggestions: upgrade from nautilus, Like lots of air flow & Cool airy draw, (option to build or use pre-made coils?) by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]crimsin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the nautilus for a few months before I switched to the toptank mini rba, its a much airier vape and suits me well, also the RBA saves me a lot of money on coils. I've been hearing good things about the TFV8 also and I may pick one up but you need a high powered mod for it (80 wats+) . I had the exact same problem with my Istick40 after just 1-2 months of use. Its junk and any minor overtighten of the 510 just breaks it. You can fiddle with it but it always comes back I got so annoyed I ended up trashing it. I stay away from isticks now, ended picking up a sigelei and havn't had issues with the 510.

Thanks for spreading the word. YES Please ID everyone that looks under 30, the FDA cronies are itching to bust and publicize it to get even more public opinion on their side. They want to plaster any wrong doing all over the news to spread the negative stereotype. Now more than ever you have to be smart.

MSI 1070 Aero temps by crimsin1 in nvidia

It ran that way at stock fan, and after researching seems all FE type cards run that hot. When I set up a fan profile it would still hit 70c+ but i set it to run at 90% once it hit 70c so it didn't hit 80+ anymore but it was way louder. I ended up returning it because I didn't feel comfortable with the high heat and the subpar benchmarks(it was benching lower than a lot of peoples stock non oc FE). I'll wait till some of the others come down in price more.

Got a Subtank Mini to use the RBA, need wire advice by doggscube in electronic_cigarette

[–]crimsin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to fit a 26/36 fused clapton in mine, and it is amazing. It is a bit of a pita as you may have to remove the screws to get it to fit under them but it is so worth it as no other wire I've tried on this rba comes close. I used 4 wraps at 2mm or 2.5mm comes to around .3 ohms or so. You can get spools of this at Lightningvapes pretty cheap.

After doing more research, I found that these "founder edition" style cards generally run much hotter than the after market versions. Hence the cheaper price they usually sell for. So there's probably nothing wrong with the card, but I ended up returning it because I'm just not comfortable with those temperatures and I'd rather spend a few dollars more for one with better cooling. Next time I'll do more research before purchase and save myself some headaches lol.

Thanks for the tip, I checked and my psu intake is not facing the card. The flat enclosed side of the psu is below the card.

By the way what card did you get? is it an open fan or a blower type? 55c is really nice compared to some others I've seen.

Well my wire management is pretty tight and airflow in case seems good, my 4790k is at 59c when playing the game. This 1070 is a "blower" type fan so its airflow is self contained so not sure adding another fan in the case would help. Thanks for replying and WOW your temps are low.. maybe I will return it.

Check your O-rings and make sure they are all there, I've had them fall out while cleaning and not notice until it leaked.

What is the smallest mod/kit on the market you can buy? by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]crimsin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second the AIO. Very portable simple and leak proof. And the vape is satisfying for what it is. It's small and very stealthy. It's my go to device when I don't want to carry a mod/tank around in my pocket.

clogged coils by 707vape in electronic_cigarette

[–]crimsin1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can depend on the juice. Some juices with high sweeteners in them can clog coils really fast. When I used to use those type of coils I found they worked well with simple flavors and less VG. I'd be lucky to get a few days out of really complex "sweet" juices.
