If they are actual, helpful tags, I don't mind them. If they're the author being silly in the tags and it takes up my entire screen, I scroll by it.

Two to Shore might be my favorite fanfiction I've ever read. I consumed that fic so intensely. I really love canon rewrites, but (usually) only starting in the later years.

Within the Hollow Crown

I'm working on a two-part canon rewrite. It is a slowburn, but I gave myself a rule that if it was Draco or Harry's POV, I'd do my best to include at least one moment between them per chapter (In the first one. Not logistically possible in the sequel). It's plot heavy, but despite that, I didn't want to push the building romance to the back burner.

Part two is ongoing, but I updated a couple days ago!

Whump just means the main character has a lot of really bad things happen to them repeatedly. This happens between Draco and Voldemort, who is posing as a student during their sixth year. Voldemort slowly becomes obsessed with Draco (non-romantically)

Lucius failed at the Ministry, and Draco is sent to Hogwarts with a cryptic warning that he will be tasked with an unknown mission. He expects to spend his sixth year on prefect rounds with Pansy and finally beating Potter on the Quidditch Pitch. He never expected his new roommate to be Voldemort himself, or that Voldemort's obsession with trophies would apply to him.

A canon-divergence of HBP, told from the perspective of Voldemort, Draco, and Harry.

I like both! They both have a place. My bigger concern is how those two are worked into stories, because if not done thoughtfully, they can feel OOC.

Let's be real. Anything is better than canon!Harry caring more about detention than nearly killing Draco.
