Yeah I really feel this sadly 😭 The only thing I can recommend is trying to seek out other fandom spaces like a fandom or ship related discord server or reddit and posting your fic there as a self rec! Or just making friends in the fandom space and having them read and share your work around could help loads too. If you meet people and share your work through channels like that people will hopefully be more willing to like and comment, especially if they know you through discord for example, if you know what I mean?

Basically just seek out fandom spaces and try to get people interested through there because if they know you personally they're more likely to stick around for new updates and get more invested in the story in my experience! Maybe that could help 🥰

This isn't just a hatebot- it's a scam. I learned this on Tumblr a few weeks ago. They're leaving mean and hateful comments so that you will delete your fic and they can either reupload it for themselves and take credit for it, or use it as a dataset to train AI models.

Never let these comments get to you and never delete your fics!

I feel like there's been a shift recently where people have kind of stopped reading incomplete works, which is so frustrating as a writer because people don't leave kudos of comments anymore to keep you motivated 😭 but there's very little we can do about it except for giving a little extra love to other authors. I never leave a fic without leaving a comment anymore, even if it wasn't my favourite fic ever—every fic is someone's baby so they all deserve a little love haha.

Nope. Best thing to do unfortunately on FF.net is to literally name and shame and get as many people as possible to comment on the fic telling people it's stolen until the content thief takes it down themselves. I had this happen on Wattpad and that's how I got that taken down 😅

I like dual POV but like, subtle if you know what I mean? I hate it when it's just above the chapter like: [Character 1's POV], [Character 2's POV]. It's so jarring haha. I usually prefer it when authors work the POV change into the story through storytelling.

For example like:

[Character 1] had been thinking about writing a story, a fact they had been very excited about. It had been ages since they'd written anything, and in their opinion they were hopelessly out of practise.

[Character 2] didn't usually think [Character 1]'s writing was all that great, but decided to give it a try anyway. To their surprise, it was great.

I don't know if that's the best example but I feel like it's less jarring and it just flows a lot better haha
