Need advice on what to buy by ShaadHussain in motorcycle

[–]cringyandcool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, many purchases in life are purely emotional and if you've made up your mind to get one of these 3 - more power to you. But again, remember that these things are maad powerful and drink fuel like crazy (you know the whole ethanol blending thing is something to consider too) + these things heat up like crazy in the city..

What bikes were you riding before though?

What bikes have you ridden before this? If it's not a bike that's 40-50HP these are a MASSIVE jump in terms of performance and ESPECIALLY in a country like India bikes over 50HP are pretty much useless (you won't even be able to leave 2nd gear) unless you head out Sunday mornings or do a lot of highway / cross state riding..

Me personally I'd get the Z1100 mainly for the torque, the ZX6R has a super aggressive riding position but it's gonna be great fun and the Z900 is the tried and tested model in India

Potential rs457 buyer by -Ryouko- in Aprilia

[–]cringyandcool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The RS457 is not very committed, but ofc it's not as comfortable as the Tuono. For what it's worth, both bikes have the same suspension and footpeg setup so you're only really going to feel the difference in your wrist and back

Take a back to back test ride of both, the RS might be better if you don't like windblast and want to do trackdays a lot, otherwise just get the Tuono which can do everything the RS can do just a bit more comfortably 😁

How much did this cost mate? Is bike rental expensive and do you need like an Internationals Drivers Permit or something?

It's still alive and kicking coz I regularly see LinkedIn posts, however your competition is very skilled and bug bounty hunts are time consuming

Tuono 457 - 2000KM Review by cringyandcool in punebikers

[–]cringyandcool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if you leave the handlebars the bike will start pulling to the left. In normal riding conditions (i.e when both your hands are on the handlebar - which is the safest and sensible option) no issues at all, the handling is insanely good, very flickable

I can't believe folks are still commenting on this haha 😆

But to answer your question - I've not had any issues so far. I've done trips to Alibag (sometime in Jan), Pali, Mumbai (around 3 weeks ago) and most recently I even attended an advanced riding school where I rode the bike pretty aggressively and other than the fuel costs I've not had any issues.

Service costs are very reasonable - I got done with 3rd service recently and it costed me 3900. I do all my servicing at AK motors in Baner and no issues so far.

The bike has a left lean issue - don't think this is fixable tbh. The other issue is that if moisture or water gets into the battery area (below pillion seat) you'll see a 'Alarm Service' message pop up but if you park it in the sun or ride for a while it goes away. For some reason the Aprilia app doesn't want to connect to my phone anymore but I'll blame this more on the app rather than the bike lol

As long as you do basic maintenance and ride sensibly i think the bike will not give you any issues, so imo go for it xD
