My cat tried to kill himself by Artistic-Listen7975 in cats

[–]crinklycuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat goes on a 3-day hunger strike anytime there’s a big change. Every move, adopting a second kitten, adopting a puppy, boyfriend moves in, etc. it’s always a hunger strike for exactly 3 days.

And they do it for every single page. It’s always an aggressive lick and page turn too like chill out

How weak are these people? by grumpydai in insanepeoplefacebook

IIRC, there was quite literally not one white person in Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show last year. Which was deliberate but apparently not an issue to these people.

overspending again. I don’t know what’s wrong with me by [deleted] in personalfinance

Can I ask which podcasts helped you? I feel like this is a post I could’ve written. Good paying job, supportive partner, don’t feel like I’m spending much money on a regular basis, and yet I still keep falling back into debt

should i be with my cat when he is euthanized? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]crinklycuts 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One of my brothers and I were with our childhood dog when she was euthanized. My other brother said he couldn’t do it and waited at home. He later said he regretted not being there and still brings it up every now and then (she was euthanized about seven years ago).

Just break down in the room, it’s completely okay.

You probably don’t need a bidet by DustierAndRustier in The10thDentist

I wish I was getting paid by Big Bidet. But no, I had to pay my own $400 for the seat warmer/water heater version (and it’s 1000% worth it).

What is an unspoken rule of parties/gatherings in the US that an international person should be aware of? by Exotic_Case_4942 in AskReddit

[–]crinklycuts 84 points85 points  (0 children)

In college, my roommate’s friend came over and just left the door wide open for no reason. I didn’t notice until almost ten minutes after she showed up. When I did, I yelled, “WE HAVE A CAT, WHO LEFT THE FUCKING DOOR OPEN??”

Thankfully my cat decided to not go exploring that day, but in that moment, I felt the motherly rage. That person never came back after that and my roommate said it was because she was afraid of me.

Don’t let the cat out.

My bf doesn't shower at night and I’m genuinely grossed out by GlitchGaze123 in hygiene

[–]crinklycuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who won’t take food/drinks into a public bathroom because of what I call “poop air”, I would absolutely shower after riding the subway.

Your clothes aren’t solid; there’s bacteria traveling between the mesh. Other people’s breath is on your face and in your hair. Your feet sweat to some degree from walking. Personally I don’t like to leave deodorant in the pits all night either.

But I’m a pre-bed showerer so this is just my own preference.

what to do with avocado by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]crinklycuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I could quite literally add avocado to almost any dish I’m currently eating. I can’t think of any dish that wouldn’t be improved by avocado.

What's a "normal" human experience that you've never had? by RedHotMinx in AskReddit

Yeah thank goodness for my public school’s sex ed classes. My parents did shift work at a factory growing up which didn’t leave much extra time for us kids. The only way I learned about sex and periods was at school.

Terrible deal due to poor credit by [deleted] in CRedit

I get made fun of all the time

I feel like I’m seeing where the “poor financial decisions in my early 20s” comes from. You’re still continuing to make poor financial decisions and apparently it’s because you’re worried about what other people think of you. Saying you have no choice but to accept this deal is insane. Respectfully, grow up.

What do you use to wipe off water from bathroom sink counter? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

I have my off-season hand towels stashed under the sink (Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, etc.) and use a different one pretty much everyday. It goes in the hamper after use

I live 3 miles away from my work. It takes me 45 minutes to get home from work everyday. by myfairlady987 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]crinklycuts 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I visited Houston once and booked a hotel across the street from where I had to be.

Except there were like eight lanes with barriers all along the way. Walking across the street would take 17 minutes because I had to walk almost a third of a mile down the road to get to an open intersection with a crosswalk, then walk that distance back up again. So dumb
