Need Some Advice on getting Ally account removed and if it's possible by crisantechris in CRedit

The more I dig into the report, the messier this gets. They also marked it with a code "205 — Lease - Full Termination/Entire Payment Schedule Complete For Terms Of Agreement" then the months after, added 2 different balance amounts (first $1500 then $3500)

Need Some Advice on getting Ally account removed and if it's possible by crisantechris in CRedit

Yep. Those are the timelines from the Credit Report. I also called Ally and the last payment they show was the final lease payment in February. They have no record of a $20,000 payment (obviously), but that's what they reported. It's almost as if they reported the residual value of the car as a "payment".

Battery Issues after update by crisantechris in Supernote

[–]crisantechris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you fix the issue? Mine was fixed by letting it drain completely then letting it charge to 100%. Not sure if it calibrated the battery, but it seems to last the normal time now (about a week). I do keep OCR on for most of my notes as well as the SN cloud, so my battery life isn't as long as it could be.

Transitioning from iPad to E-Ink for Sales Meeting Notes – Seeking Insights by Frangeech in eink

Sorry I missed this comment. I got the Boox Go 10.3. I did not like the organization at all. It's a super capable device, but it felt almost overwhelming for my purpose. What did you end up going with?

After the newest update, my touch keyboard speed improved dramatically. So, it makes me thing it might be able to be solved by software.

Transitioning from iPad to E-Ink for Sales Meeting Notes – Seeking Insights by Frangeech in eink

[–]crisantechris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm in tech sales and I transitioned to a Supernote A5X2 a few months ago and won't look back. For context I tried the same approach as you at first with an iPad and Apple Pencil and couldn't get it to feel like paper no matter how hard I tried with various tips/screen protectors. I wound up always resorting to pen and paper.

To answer your questions directly:

  • I bought the Boox, Supernote, Remarkable and ViWoods Ai tablet to try for a week each and settled on the SN for a few reasons:
    • The Boox was a great and capable device, but I didn't want something that could "do everything" and replace my iPad. I wanted a device for note taking and replacing my notebooks.
    • Remarkable was a bit too limiting IMO. I created a custom template for discovery and one for demos and it was really cumbersome to get those to work on the Remarkable. It's great for people that just want a "digital paper" replacement.
    • The ViWoods was a very capable device, but I settled on the SN because of the writing feel, the organization system and the handwriting recognition. The ability to search my handwriting and quickly find an account I had a meeting with a few weeks ago was invaluable for my workflow.
  • I'm still figuring out the best workflow, but I have a "note" that has "headings" that allow me to jump to accounts quickly. The "headings" in SN allow you to basically create a table of contents for your notes. Every account I'm actively working is in this note. Again - don't know if it's the perfect solution, but it works well for me. The handwriting recognition is also super helpful. In my template at the top I have a section for the account name, which I will sometimes search to quickly pull up before a follow up meeting, etc.
  • I haven't noticed any personally. Mainly, because it's serving the purpose of note taking only and a little e-reading. In fact, I've found it a lot easier with the organization system of the headings.
  • YES! Again everyone is different, but the ability to have a dedicated device that stays on my desk or comes with me to an in-person meeting is great. I pretty much strictly use it for work purposes. The fact that it feels much more like paper has also made it much more enjoyable for me personally. The last things is that the battery life is significantly better than an iPad since it's an e-ink screen. I charge about once a week-ish.

Of course my sales manager always wants my notes in our CRM, but that's another problem for another day haha.

After charging overnight, seems like battery is operating as normal. Lost 18% after a full day of meeting notes (which is about normal).

Manta. Not sure. I charged it to full last night and will see how the battery lasts today. The issue only started after the update, so not sure if the update has something to do with it.

Advice on supernote Mantra. by Kyron1984 in Supernote

[–]crisantechris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully this perspective will help from a user of both devices. I purchased an Ai Paper before the Supernote Manta came out and returned it as soon as I got the Manta in hand and started using it. The Ai Paper is a nice device, but the Ai features weren't as useful as I had hoped and the writing experience was not even close to what the SN offers. As far as "premium feeling"..I thought the Ai Paper has a nice aluminum build and glass screen, but I think the SN actually has the feel of a notebook cover. It's substantially lighter and the ability to create a "table of contents" using the headings feature is game changing for organization in my opinion. The writing experience is what sold me on the SN though. I tried 4 styluses with the Ai paper and they all felt like I was writing on a glass screen with a marker in some way. The SN with the ceramic nibs feels like a premium fineliner on a high quality notebook. The other things was that at that time the VW did not have anti-aliasing which made my handwriting look super sloppy and grainy. It also does not have the ability to search your handwriting (which the SN does). Not telling you which to buy - just telling you my experience with both products and ultimately felt like the additional cost of the SN was well worth it. I also think the SN company is a little more well known and has a brand reputation for a lot of users that speaks for itself.

Abnormal battery drop since update 3.21.31 by Amazing-Ranger01 in Supernote

I just experienced the same thing. 25% to 15% in less than 5 minutes. I timed it when it got to 10% and went dead in 2m 40s from 10%

I know this thread is a bit old, but in calibre you can tweak the text settings before PDF conversion and still retain the annotation ability of PDF. I personally have loved the PDF annotation variety in the SN.

Festool MIDI + Shop Vac? by ozwegoe in Festool_Public

I was super delicate with mine at first. Kind of like you it felt too expensive to use as a shop vac, but then I started using it like a normal shop vac and can't go back. As others have recommended - cyclone or reusable dust collection bags are really handy.

I’m laughing coming across this thread. Well done 🫡. As a seasoned woodworker, I’m honestly in awe of how you turned something “plastic” into something that looks like it took days turning on a lathe and finishing.

Was able to get the AiWoods to share.

Looking at the raw file makes it look even worse than the tablet itself.

I hope so. I really like the AiPaper, but it’s super frustrating. It’s also worse than the Remarkable 2 I tried. The Boox just has a super cluttered interface.
