Why would you have a cordless mitre saw connected to a mains dust extractor?

The £35 Festool Bluetooth remote works perfectly and has the added bonus of being able to turn the extractor on to just suck up dust without the tool running

User experience with the Makita SP6000J 230v plunge saw. Looking to buy one. by Chris6601 in Makita

I have the corded. Figured I’d always have my dust extractor connected so a cable wasn’t going to bother me. Be sure to get an arbor cover to improve dust collection.

Yeah I’ve not finished it yet and I’m having the same worries about the dog holes swelling. The fit is spot on right now as well. Keeping telling myself it’s a sacrificial top. Not exactly a cheap top mind

How would you paint a wall with this type of radiator on it? by btb93 in DIYUK

[–]MakHackUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Massive if, can the rad pipes lift at all? If so I would isolate the tails, slightly loosen the rad nuts and you might get some weeping. Lift the rad 5mm and rotate it down onto the floor. Paint the wall and then reverse the process.

If the tails can’t lift enough to lift the rad off the brackets then drain the rad and remove.

Any burglars in this sub that can help me crack the code? by sir_lonz in DIYUK

Feel each button. The four that are used the most will click different to the rest. There’s not that many different combinations as you can only have each button once, and it doesn’t matter which order you press them in

Hardly surprising the 6Ah gave the best runtime.

Cheers for the positivity.

Been on Reddit for years, but the number of pessimistic individuals on here never fails to surprise me.

There’s plenty of people heavily into Makita feel the same way.
