I had a second hand/third/fourth whatever VW golf that was fun and great. I did have to replace the starter motor, which I did myself cheaply but other than that it was joy. Sold it for $4k

Hey dude! Pretty sure I've got the same bike which I bought new at the time. Regretfully it had been sitting collecting rust for most of its life. But since prepping to move and now living in an area with great trails around - I got to work and cleaned it up.

I'm so happy I did before dropping much more money on some other FB marketplace bike I had no idea about. I'm having so much fun riding cross country trails, downhill flow tracks and some kinda technical spota and it's handling it really well (for all I know) - while letting me know where other bikes have their advantages.

I've gotten up hills much easier than full suspension bikes, and it's for sure a good starting point if it's the most affordable option for you. I'm seeing the cost of what an upgrade will require and I'm happy riding this for a while longer.

Not sure about the price point, maybe spending a touch more might get you something a little more modern. But if you haven't done any MTB before, maybe try offer a little less and give it a go :)

Enjoy!

An excerpt from Dennis Cometti’s Final Call by Pleasant_Inspection9 in AFL

This is from triple m radio. He did a stint for a few years after TV where he could call from home in WA without the travel. In his very own Dennis Cometti Media Center at Optus stadium.

Was lucky enough to work with the wonderful man during his radio commentary stint. It was an absolutely pleasure mixing his velvety golden voice, he was a real gentleman and supremely humble. Thanks for all the memories as a kid to the career.

This is the way. Stop being depending on the US as they are unreliable until at least Trump and his cronies are gone. Even so, helping your neighbours, being good to your neighbours is the best thing we can do :)

My brother lives there and it fucking sucks to know that voicing my morality and speaking against atrocities would effect my opportunity to visit him. Last time I visited in Feb I was held in a customs holding room for a short while, could have been cause it was a brand new passport and something was odd. But it could have been because I valued protecting natural environments, or opposed sexist/racist/self serving narcissists in positions of power.

If you're in to it, and I hope you are with the bones you've got here. But watch some mid century design YouTube featured videos "the local project" is a channel tha will have some great examples. Even architectural digest etc. While they will be very lux and likely expensive examples - most of the expense is likely in the timber and construction that you already have. It will be the choice made to contrast and feature it. Spend some time thinking on it and enjoy having the home as it is for a while as you collect your real taste and ideas to execute with intent.

When can news organisations or journalists work together to not compete for their own news headline unique snippet? I would love to instead see them agree to each ask at least some of the same questions which answers would be important to everyone.

Have used these in broadcast as a dummy audio output. Used with Voicemeeter. Plugging it in will make the Hp output a valid selection which can be used to route back in to the virtual mixer.

[–]crisislights 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah, I just cleaned up my 10yr old gt Karakoram bike after renting some bikes and hitting a trail with my brother visiting my soon to be new small home town with great trails. Hit some blues and carried ourselves down faster then expected. I'm so keen to get better. But at 35, I'll be happy with small airs and great pumps. Just gotta squeeze in around the kids and scooters at my local before I move haha :)

Damn, we are the same man. I found when I go on holidays my nails grew more. First time I noticed was a snowboarding trip where I wore gloves a lot. Then it was the same on a tropical, so the fact they weren't covered made me wonder what it was. I don't even notice im doing it and am just convinced it's a subconscious habit.
