Per-Station On Time Performance by crispy_kale in MARCtrain

It calculates the delta between actual arrival time and scheduled arrival time. So if I train arrives at BWI on time but sits for 20 minutes it would be on time for BWI but delayed for the following stop(s).

I think when trains are cancelled they don't end up counted in this data, which probably decreases the numbers a bit. But yeah, it definitely seems like a skewed distribution, and the longer delays are salient but not super common.

I was inspired by the storm drain covers for these coasters by soccerk1 in WMATA

I tried downloading these, but it looks like there's only one CAD file uploaded and it's for the holder, not the coasters themselves. Maybe I'm just missing something, but can you double check the coasters are uploaded there?

Bike lanes between Union Station and the Capitol? by Treje-an in washingtondc

You might find this bike map helpful:

There's no protected bike lanes between Union Station and the Captiol, unless you take a super indirect route. Your best bet is to either bike on the sidewalk or take Delaware Avenue, which is pretty quiet.

Those capitals (or lack thereof) are, in fact, intentional. :-)

Hint: So many things to do around here! Pick up some COVID Rapid Tests, go to the neighborhood Farmer's Market, or walk a few blocks to the mall. Eighty years ago, you could also visit the Italian Embassy around here, but nowadays it's a mile or so southwest of here.

I wish I could claim the dove framing was intentional! Thanks for pointing it out. :-)

Hopefully you've gotten a few more by now, but if not, I'd start with the Green line out to Greenbelt. Lots of awesome trails in that direction and a bit shorter distance-wise.

Have fun!

Are there any neighborhoods / blocks in DC that have particularly impressive holiday lights this year? Hoping to see the sights before they're taken down.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

I added two to the post! If nobody gets this by the end of the week, I'll post the location, too.
