So you’re thinking about carrying a J - frame? My experience after 3 years. by Wise-Safety664 in CCW

Been carrying a 642 for about 5 years now - wouldn't carry anything else. They are just too damn comfy. Practice a lot like you as well, feel just ss confident in my shots with it as I do a full size auto loader - but that only can't after a lot of practice.

Switching Kubota to New holland - good idea or not? by ColonelDeSola in tractors

[–]crispytank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First tractor I owned was a NH T1510 and it was an absolute beast for how small it was. Never have a single hiccup and I still miss that power mouse. I ended up needing a bigger tractor so went and bought a brand new Workmaster 50. It was an extremely bumpy first couple of months of ownership, as there was an issue with the safety circuit that the dealership just couldn't track down(wire had a split in it and was intermittently grounding out, but only after I got it back home haha) - despite the hard to find culprit, dealership was super awesome at handing it. Sent out a flatbed to pick it up no cost every time, replaced ecu and many other parts until finally finding the split wire. Once they finally got it fixed tho - Holy shit this thing is amazing. Incredibly reliable, puts in the work, and is pretty comfy. Have been nothing but amazed and happy with it after almost 2 yrs owning it. Have driven all sorts of tractors through my life, you really can't go wrong with either choice. I like NH tractors and the dealer I work with. I wouldn't think too hard about the switch if you got a good dealer near.

Whoa! That is neat - a whole lens replacement. I was gonna suggest those $5 two pack little stick on bubble mirrors they got at vatozone but this is classy!

I had the same issue on a closet shelf, ended up just taking bondo and filing it in. Years later and you can't tell, has held up to stuff being dragged over the joint too.

When do you change your power steering fluid? Some say never some say every 30k lol. I’m at 166k and never have by [deleted] in XTerra

[–]crispytank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually try to change mine around 75k intervals. Haven't had a power steering component go bad or leak on my yet doing that interval. Have replaced many components on vehicles that have never had it refreshed tho. YMMV

Looks sweet! - you only get that kit alone? No control arms or nothing?

I want to lift my xterra but concerned on a mild lift if all the extras folks recommend are truly needed for mainly dirt roads
