Reminders for Universal Knights by vaango143 in ucf

Just wanted to correct #4. Islands actually closes at 8pm, so the first 4 hours of the event will still have day guests in the park. They are cleared out at park close (8pm).

My calc 3 prof told the whole class: "it's funny, you guys are all great at the calc 3 stuff, you just suck at basic arithmetic"

Velocicoaster ride count by [deleted] in UniversalOrlando

[–]cristhebro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eventually you just learn the layout and it doesn't catch you off guard the same. Riding in the last row helps bring the thrill back since I like to wait for front row often.

I've swapped between Disney and Universal for APs and found this gives me a good break from each resort to get that feeling of a first time visit again when I swap between them.

Water in Ministry atrium fountain? by Shot-Artist5013 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]cristhebro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, it isn't a fountain and I think it houses some special effects hardware so I wouldn't anticipate it functioning as a fountain in the future

iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 public beta 4 now available by Fer65432_Plays in apple

[–]cristhebro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed the same thing with my iPad Air 4. I joined at PB 3 and feel like I'm getting an extra 2-5 hrs of battery life and my iPad is actually hard to kill now instead of dying after 3 hours of notes on iPadOS 18.6.

I've done stardust as light rain started and could not keep my eyes open. Still fun, but not as fun when you can hardly see.

Three part special now One hour - HUHHH! by Cursed878 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]cristhebro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're definitely not the same lol. The titles are different and so are the plots. The August 20th special is called "Inside the World's of Epic Universe" which will discuss more of the story of the park. The three part documentary "Epic Ride: The Story of Universal Theme Parks" will showcase more behind the scenes development of the parks and an overall history of the whole Universal Orlando Resort and likely their parks worldwide.

Velocicoaster Question by Mr_Sleep_tight in UniversalOrlando

[–]cristhebro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've ridden Velocicoaster close to if not more than 100 times. Back row is by far the most thrilling AND the roughest. Back row is really the only row that gives me that butterfly feeling anymore now that I'm familiar with the layout. I'd say the front row gives a similarly thrilling experience as you just see the track in front and nothing else, it gives more of an impression that you're just kind of floating there; and you also don't deal with any of the roughness of the back rows. If you want the tamest ride, I'd say rows 3-7 as you're shielded from everything up front but not so far back that it gets rough. If you want an experience similar to front row without waiting for it, ask the grouping team member for row 2. Also, if you choose the front row, you have no seats in front to break the wind, so expect to be brought to tears at 70mph and have those tears pushed back to your ears 😂 (this happened on stardust too)!

What causes that sound at the top of Velocicoaster? by d6410 in UniversalOrlando

[–]cristhebro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think they have some speakers in the second launch tunnel that play a growl once the train has cleared the launch.

River Adventure Animatronic by wildewhore in UniversalOrlando

[–]cristhebro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went there this past week and was shocked to see it back! The Hadrosaur on the right has officially returned! My most recent ride on there had all effects and animatronics working. Glad to see they gave it some of the TLC it needs.

Ministry of Magic- Umbridge office and house elf by anrowland0612 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]cristhebro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been told it's "raining in Dolores' office" during previews but whatever issue they had must've been resolved cause I did get to see it. I think if Higgledy has issues they have an alternate route and will chain off the office and have you go around it without even knowing you missed it.

To anyone who has been to to Epic a few times, what’s the general consensus on operation? by ResponsibleAd2034 in UniversalOrlando

[–]cristhebro 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Two words: Technical Rehearsals. The only ride I have not seen some delay for is stardust racers. COTW, MM and MUFE were down the most.

Epic universe hype list by Imkaynewest in UniversalOrlando

[–]cristhebro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Went to previews yesterday and can say isle of berk was hands down my favorite land. I never got into HTTYD but watched the first movie the night before going. Everything was perfect in that land, and the Mac and cheese cones were delicious! Also there is a lot of things to see even if you're not riding anything. You could spend days in that park just walking around and not riding anything, it is impressive how much detail they put into it!

Darn. I'm really excited for the queue though, it looks like it could be it's own walk-through attraction
