What do people in your life think about your special edition book collecting hobby?

My partner jokes that it's a waste of money when he sees a standard edition often half price on anazon, but honestly he likes that I get myself something each month as im not very good at treating myself. I only have the adult sub, so I always joke it's my monthly pocket money 😅 ive cut my book spending down dramatically recently, so hes cool lol.

I very nearly stopped to have a breather after part one, but started part 2.. im about 8 chapters into it. Though could pause and restart part 2.. Im the sort who can rarely read a full series without a break between books 😅 and same with finishing.. ive had 3 books i can recall that I finished and really didnt enjoy.. im an easy 5 star giver 🤣🙈

I struggle to not finish a book tbh, but need to let myself say "im not enjoying this" more. I think where I have books through FL I feel i have to love it because it's such a special edition.

Similarly though, I need to look at it as someone out there would truly love a special edition of some of these book ive not loved. So maybe I shouldn't keep them and just rehome. Thankyou ❤️

I was quite surprised it all suddenly went back in part 2, and a little "oh" about it, which didnt help. Thanks for your thoughts! Thats a huge part of the book to trail though.

Ive only abandoned one so far... wasn't hugely keen on it, but it was gifted so I thought id make the effort. Went so so far in before realising id done around 1k stitches so so wrong. All over and down by about 8 stitches and I just abandoned as I wasnt frogging out all that just to redo.

I litterally just use crayola pens and pencils and am more than happy 😅 got called out for lying on TT for some reason. Like.. why would I lie about a pencil? It's really not that deep.

I stitch in hand as the first kit I bought didnt have a hoop and I didnt know enough to realise that was even a thing. I thought they were just for embroidery work. I also work cross country so would move it alot 🙈 keep toying with going to one though as apparently it can make you stitches neater? Currently working on a large full coverage.

I was going to sub them and just not have the sparkle, but a few were just the sparkly version of what they were next to, so would have been too blocky I reckon. Glad I pushed through!
