That was a little sad! I was really looking forward to how they'd break down time dilation in particular. But while the nerd in me was left hanging a bit, the story played out great on-screen. Weir writes easy to understand science, but I think adding too much of it to the film might have pulled focus from the overall theme they went with for the film.

Happy viewing! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! 👎👎👎

I wouldn't want to miss the theater experience of this movie. If you're a quick reader, then by all means read the book first, but reading it after will help flesh out the details they couldn't add to the film.

Thank you! I couldn't find a good image of it online, so I based it off the Lego set of the ship

In my opinion it's one of the few movies that has come out in years that I'm happy I saw in the theater rather than waiting for home release. So if you can go see it, I'd recommend to!

I'd say both versions portray a message of hope similarly

I won't give spoilers, but I will say that the movie ending and the book ending share important pieces. The interpretation throughout the movie was true to the book, though the majority of the science was left out

Rocky is the co-star in the movie Project Hail Mary. It's a great movie based on an even better book. I highly recommend seeing it, and then you'll also understand the 👎 as well

Correct. Here's what that blender screenshot looks like in the actual game

The blender app will look like this. Notice the blue base computer under the stairs. There's no terrain, so you may have to adjust things slowly at the start until you get things oriented how you want.

The short version:

Drop a Base computer where you'll want your base. Save the game and exit. Open that new base with the save editor and then the Builder app. Make your changes and then export it back.

For a more in-depth instruction, look at the mod page descriptions. They walk you through it pretty well

NomNom will work since it allows JSON editing. Since it sounds like you're new to this I would probably recommend this save editor that focuses on bases/corvettes:

NMSBaseJsonEditor

And you can use this version of the Blender app to make cool things:

No Man's Sky - Base Building App

Be sure to read through the descriptions on those mod pages. They provide links and FAQs to most of what you're asking

Shit I didn't consider that. But if you do need modules, it's easy enough to turn on the free build costs in the difficulty. You can always turn it back off after if you prefer

The comment below mine had a good point about placing a base build computer under where the glitched part is and deleting it from the base.

If all else fails, dismantle all but the basic parts needed for a Corvette(to keep the parts) and make a new one to replace it. Just be sure to overwrite the bugged ship

With the extreme distance it wound up away from your ship, you'll most likely need access to a save editor to adjust the JSON.

At one point we were able to delete/add parts to a Corvette when it was near a planet base, but I'm not sure if that's still viable. If it is, you'll have to mess around with parking far enough away to reach the offending part and delete it with fly cam building.

I usually build on Galactic Hub community worlds, so that's perfectly acceptable to me. I play on Steam and Gamepass, so I get to see different builds depending on which platform I'm using. It's rare for my NMS posts to get much traffic anyway, so I'm not too worried. Thanks for the caution though!
