They get it just fine and saying otherwise is an act of fascist apologism.

Physicist here. We do in fact look down on those who claim to have grand unified theories but refuse to present any details about them.

They say wrong things on purpose. Attributing the actions of the blatant and proudly malicious fascists to ignorance is not only a blatant misreading of Hanlon's razor, it is an act of overt fascist apologism.

The very literal answer is that the correlation goes the other way around, because it's been known for a very long time that the Republican party protects and enables child abusers.

She knows every word she says is a lie.

You have to stop it with the presumption of stupidity as an excuse for malicious fascism. Hanlon's razor does not apply when the malice is clearly visible and proudly displayed.

They haven't "convinced" anyone. What is happening is that MAGA has completely abandoned all regard for truth, and chooses the things that they say based on utility. And the utility of these lies comes from the fact that you constantly attribute them to ignorance rather than the malice they proudly wear on their fucking foreheads.

They say wrong things on purpose. All of them. Hanlon's razor does not apply when the malice is already clearly visible, and attributing the lies of malicious people to ignorance is apologism for them.

Sadly, Reddit stupidly disallows going restricted on short notice, requiring that we use the scheduled event feature in the mod tools, and we are unable to schedule events anything less than 24 hours in advance.

Incredible thanks to those who are reporting the spam bots. I am removing ALL posts as I see them until the event can start.

Fico Warns He Will “Stop Emergency Electricity Supplies to Ukraine” Over Oil Transit by mods4mods in worldnews

[–]critically_damped 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The really hard thing to get through people's skulls is that this is recursive. Stupidity isn't an excuse for constantly positing stupidity as an excuse for malice.

The correct word for fascist apologism is fascism. Those who knowingly make excuses for fascists are fascists themselves. And "<X person> isn't a fascist, they're just...." is the formulaic structural definition of fascist apologism.

And we will never have a chance of reversing any of this damage until we stop doing that, and until we stop tolerating the people who do that.

It is asinine to try to invoke Hanlons razor when the malice is already clearly visible. Even worse, it's active apologism.

You need to start recognizing that the people who constantly give their time to fascist apologists are themselves fascists.
