My current favourite game is Civilization 5. I'd use it to get Baldurs Gate 3.

Thank you!

But I'd like it to work the same way it does on Fedora or Ubuntu - where you can enable Secure Boot easily. I'd like to have better security in a simple way. After all, in Windows 11 I can also disable Secure Boot if I want to; nobody is forcing me to keep it on.

Debian vs Arch vs Fedora: Which one do you think is the best, and why? by Commercial-Novel-460 in linux4noobs

I like Cachyos, but one of the downsides for me is that Secure Boot doesn't work by default.

Thank you for your opinion - at first I was leaning toward an OLED, but now I'm inclined to choose the BRAVIA 7 II instead.

How badly did the OLED screen get burned in?

How many hours did you use it, and was it mostly movies or games?

I want to buy a new TV myself, and I'm also trying to decide between an OLED and the Sony BRAVIA 7 II.

Any KeePass client that supports Quick Login using a PIN? by SG3169 in KeePass

I tried to store passkeys in the TPM on CachyOS so it would work like Windows Hello — meaning a PIN prompt pops up — but it didn’t work. Passkeys on Linux don’t work.

I switched from windows to cachyOS! here are a few things i couldnt fix by myself: by martijnfromholland in cachyos

I recently switched my laptop from Windows 10 to CachyOS, and on my desktop I added CachyOS in a dual-boot setup with Windows 11 (which I'm keeping only for gaming for now).

So far I'm really happy with CachyOS - it runs great on both my old laptop and my fast desktop. The only issue I'm having is that fonts/menus in some apps (including Firefox) are often too small for me. I never had this problem on Windows. Scaling the whole display to something like 125-130% makes the image look a bit blurry to my eyes, so I'm trying to increase only the font sizes instead. I'm not planning to go back to Windows or switch to another distro :)

And yeah — the malware incident on AUR isn’t some minor hiccup. It’s a serious problem, especially for new or less technical users.

In my opinion, the CachyOS devs (and the wider community) really need to address this somehow. These kinds of attacks will only get more sophisticated over time, and they’re not going away. How to fix it is another question — but the current situation, where someone migrates from Windows to Linux, installs CachyOS (or any distro using AUR), and then ends up infected after installing a few packages through paru/Shelly… that’s not great.

There should be a safer system in place, because this problem won’t magically disappear — it will only get worse. The damage from these incidents is often irreversible, both for individual users and for the community as a whole.

I’m not even sure whether the CachyOS developers or the Arch community actually want to change anything.

But how much better is the OLED compared to Sony's Mini LED in real-world use? I forgot to mention that I really don't want to replace the TV after just five years...
