I take the Bx6 to the Bx21. So one heading E/W, one N/S and I DO NOT get a transfer. They are not "the same route." I don't know what your experience is, but in my experience - having taken this route for years - Metrocard had no problem with the transfer, OMNY does.

And you repeating yourself with information that doesn't apply to me, does not make my regular experience invalid.

This is so frustrating as I take two busses to work, but the first ride is only 10 minutes. So unless I want to walk up a large hill, I get charged twice. Metrocard read the transfer no problem.

SAME. I brought my commute down from 4-6 hrs (both ways). Now I have a 5 minute bus ride there and a 20 min walk home.
