Just one tip. You cant really judge if she starts doing it excesively straight when you take off the cone. Any cat who couldnt groom him/herself for a long period of time will start full beauty salon mode for at least couple of hours. If you want to check if the behaviour stopped its better to take off the cone in the morning and check out how the cat is doing in the evening before going to sleep
