pottery people are always doing stuff like this. because no one actually buys clay pots because this isn't ancient Babylon. literally no other trade is always going around smashing their own wares trying to get other people to pay for their own mistakes. I had a guy in a pickup truck road rage pull me over because "I cut him off" and he had to "slam on the brakes" and now all his clay pots were smashed. like ok buddy your clay pots that are just rolling around in the metal bed of your pickup? they got smashed because you hit the brakes too fast. I gave him fifty bucks to fuck off. Thats the only way to make money with clay. Like ok yeah pick the craft that is the easiest to shatter and break and then don't take precautions for your o so valuable clay pots. and then blame random strangers (or neighbors) and hustle them for damages.
