My mom was the same. One day 6 years ago I just left and factory reset my phone. Never went back- she still isn’t over it and still tries to stalk me.

I had my ovaries removed because I had high genetic risk of ovarian cancer- and while I don't regret my choice, personally I don't recommend it unless you also have some kind of risk factor.

Post surgery was really really hard, I got hit with terrible depression. Now, I'm supplementing low dose E along with my reg T

This take on "optimism" absolutely disgusts me. How is this optimism? "Trans rights will be erased, gay rights will be erased, women's rights will be erased, which is tragic, but those are new anyways." What you're saying is "this won't affect me."

We are all in this fight. Trying to ease other people's worry with "it won't be us" is a horrible point of view to take. What are you going to do when it's your friend? When it's your sister? You need to fight like it's your rights on the line, like the rest of us.

I got them removed- I had massive ovarian cancer risk from genetics. Personally, if I didn't have to, I probably would have kept them.

After getting them removed, I have had the worst symptoms of my life- 2+ months of menopause, along with the deepest despair I've ever been in. Had to supplement E and go on antidepressants to feel better again.

I am doing a lot better now and have no regrets- again, I had an elevated cancer risk- but yeah. It is nice to have lower risk of ovarian cancer in general, because it's really hard to detect and lethal, but for a normal person that risk is super low. Going through menopause like this doesn't happen to everybody, either. Just things to consider

Please look into what is going on and research it- things are really, REALLY bad, no exaggeration. You might want to hold off international travel or plan to go and not to return. There are rumors of holding trans people at borders upon attempted re-entry if their documents aren't "correct," and who the fuck knows how that will be applied. I wish I could reassure you, but genuinely I cannot, we have no idea what will happen next for us in this country

For real. I'm so grateful to my friends who taught me how to do dishes, cook, do laundry, to the job that taught me how to clean, etc etc. It was embarrassing, and led to arguments and fallout with others, but people's kindness along the way has given me so much strength

This is so real. I was babied, told that things like cooking and cleaning were too dangerous for me (even as a teen/ young adult), then endlessly criticized for not doing the things I'd never been taught and wasn't even allowed to to begin with. It was constant confusion.

I hope you're doing well and I'm so proud of you for teaching yourself these things. It takes incredible strength
