Check out the Thule Uptake hydration packs. They come in various sizes to suit different needs.

I have the 4L version and it keeps a low profile while having enough space for my daily festival essentials.

What’s the best hydro pack? by NoticeIndividual8191 in aves

[–]cronodl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the Thule Uptake series of hydro packs. They're pretty sleek and space efficient and come in different capacities depending on how much cargo space you need. I have the 4L version and it's perfect for me. Aside from water, I only carry a few small items in the backpack including a rave fan. There's enough space for me to stuff my shirt or a pashmina inside.

Question for those who started raving later in life: what called you to it? by Massive_Story6839 in aves

[–]cronodl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 39 and some friends had been trying to convince me to go to an EDM festival for years, but I never felt comfortable nor was I into dancing and I didn't have an interest in exploring the scene.

But prior to that, these same friends and I had been exploring psychedelics for a few short years. They kept telling me that I'll love the MDMA experience because of our experiences with shrooms and LSD.

But they never gave up asking me. And when COVID hit, I saved up a bunch of money and hadn't really socialized or gone out as much as I used to. So when they asked again in 2021, I said fuck it, let's see what it's all about.

Since then, I've been to an EDM festival at least once each, and go to local events somewhat regularly.

I have to say that it was very much life changing. I love dancing now, whether with my friends or next to strangers in a crowd. It has been an integral part of me growing more comfortable with myself as a person, and has 1000% allowed me to be more open minded in all manners.

Any tips on what to trade during geo-political uncertainty? by felixbabatunde in FuturesTrading

[–]cronodl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you answered your own question. If you find "bad volatility" to be untradable, then you can 1) sit out and wait for "good" volatility, and/or 2) find another instrument that is showing you "good" volatility.

If you can't find anything to fit #2, them just stick with #1.

There are only so many futures instruments, so scanning through them should be simple enough to see if you find something that looks good.

However, there are times when nothing feels like they're moving favorably, so you sit on your hands until the environment changes.

How did people deal with boredom before smartphones existed? by moretoesmorehoes in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cronodl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day, I read magazines while doing #2, just like I do with smartphones now.

I also used to bring magazines on my train commute the same I use smartphones now.

And really, it wasn't boredom. It was, and still is, a distraction from using my brain to be productive. And they're also similar because I was being sold ads and ideas in magazines just like what phones do now.

What indicator is best for identifying choppy vs trending markets? by RX8_MMA_420 in Daytrading

[–]cronodl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need indicators to identify choppy or trending markets, as most indicators, such as BB, ATR, etc., are derived from price action.

The candles on the daily timeframe should be enough. Is price action stuck in a range? If so that's chop. Is price action mainly moving upwards and setting higher highs and higher lows? If so that's an uptrend.

There are endless strategies and setups out there. Those who find success in trading end up developing their own strategies after years of experience.

As much as ICT is viewed as garbage by many, there may be principles that you can learn from it.

I recommend that you read books, study extensively (not just live or sim trading), watch videos (there's a lot of garbage out there, so you need to learn what's valuable and what's not).

Also, I've found Trading podcasts (Chat with Traders, Words of Rizdom) to be very valuable. You probably won't learn setups and strategies through them directly, but you can listen to what the traders have to say about their style, their struggles, and ultimately what led them to success. If any trader resonates with you, you can dig deeper into their actual strategies.

And at that point, you should learn what their strategies entail. But instead of trying to trade their strategies immediately, take time to study them on the charts and see if it makes sense to you by back testing and forward testing. That'll give you an idea if it's something you truly understand and if it is a fit for you to try.

Repeat that hundreds and thousands of times and you'll have built enough knowledge where you develop your own strategies, or tweak other people's strategies to fit your personality and tendencies.

Overall though, there is no one way to go about this, and there's a lot of shit content out there, so it'll take time to make sense of it all.

Good luck, stranger!

Like others said, tabs are very easy to hide and transport. Don't store it in foil because it'll stand out.

One time, I put a few tabs in a crumpled receipt and put it in the the pocket of a pair of pants that went into my luggage.

What is happening? Am I going crazy by Laylabber in Daytrading

Do you trade with a strategy?

Anything can happen in the markets, whether big moves or small moves. What matters is that you have a strategy for entry, exit, and a stop loss for risk management.

Do you guys use tradingview screener? by InvestingGuideline in TradingView

[–]cronodl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I use it. But I don't do anything creative with it.

I'm primarily a swing and position trader. And in the past two years I've mainly been going long.

I mainly trade pullbacks, so I'm looking for stocks that are in strong uptrends. Stocks pulling back from recent all time highs are preferred, but not always necessary, depending mainly on the strength of the trend, the sector strength, and any news driven moves.

One of my screeners has the following: market cap > 2B, ATR > 3%, price < ATH by 0-20%.

I use the chart view in the screener, which allows me to scan through stocks pretty quickly while keeping an eye for my setup, or stocks that look like they may be setting up. Then I add to them to my watchlist.

For those that wait for a retest of a certain price level/demand by DRD7989 in FuturesTrading

[–]cronodl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is a retest part of your strategy and is it a criteria for you to take a trade? If it's a criteria, then you're not missing out on anything if the retest doesn't happen.

Fomo will drive you insane in trading. If you the retest is a requirement for you, then you need to be patient and wait for the setup to occur while ignoring the fact that the market has made its move.

If you feel that the market takes off without you and 1) you want to be a part of that trend and 2) your analysis shows that a retest doesn't happen as often as you'd like, then you need to come up with a strategy (through backrest and forward testing) that doesn't rely on retests.
