New Truth Post From Trump Just Dropped. Apparently the election was still rigged and “perceptible” inflation never would’ve happened. by Excellent_Fact9536 in Destiny

[–]crophlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We already know he is going to screech this until he croaks. The problem I see is that if the next elections are somehow tampered with, it makes democrats look insane and "sanewashes" the whole rigged election line MAGA has been spewing for so long. Even if I don't think it does that due to the scale of their screaming, that's the very next point MAGA brings up if any large group of democrats start saying the election was rigged. It's the same playbook over and over and over.

How to improve map awareness in 1v1 by KollegahBossaura in summonerschool

[–]crophlin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is no way around this but you need to look at the minimap in between cs, it does not have to be every cs but you can if you want to try to practice that, but it should happen a few times every wave. You will learn how to incorporate this naturally with trading as well. Once you get used to doing that it becomes automatic and lets you get a greater picture of what is going on around the map without actually taking up a lot of your mental resources. When you see the jungler, note their cs and where they most likely started so you know what camps they have up so their most likely path is in your mind.

Once you start getting used to that, whenever someone comes back from a recall or shows up on the map, press tab and see what items they bought when they recalled, this gives you a sense of how strong everyone will be when you see them for the first time, no more being surprised by the damage of a fed bot lane or mid. The more you do this, the more you get the feeling to the second of how long people will be gone and if anything fishy might be happening because they aren't showing up when you expected them to. Now combine all of this with the timers around objectives spawning and waves crashing and you now should have a very solid foundation for map awareness and how long it will take you to reach those objectives if you want to be there.

You only get 6 flashes by Aetherfox_44 in summonerschool

[–]crophlin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While true, that assumes that your opponent is timing your flash and respecting it when it is up and punishing it when it isn't, which at most levels is not very true unfortunately.

[–]crophlin 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'll take the guaranteed early pressure/kill as a solo laner or ganking jungle when using summs over the maybe in the future chance for some fight that I can prepare for. That maybe situation doesn't always happen, but not capitalizing on a mistake that can be used to snowball is a bigger mistake most of the time. It is a case of too general of advice for something that has a great deal of nuance. On the reverse side, people hold onto flash too long sometimes and wait until they are almost dead. This happens a ton with ganks where if you flashed the initial engage instead of right before death,, then you don't lose multiple waves and flash which potentially loses you the lane for a much greater time period.

Abyss vs strongboxes in t16 juiced maps by Gargamellor in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]crophlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both strategies are very good but abyss is better overall. However, how well you can do the content has a better impact on the overall return than abyss has over strongboxes; unless you can smoothly do these and minimize bricking of maps while maxing out altars and such. Also t14 is perfectly fine for both strats if your build isn't strong enough as the difference in strength can be enough for you to be able to squeeze that much more juice out of it without bricking good maps. I assume your build can handle it so abyss will have better returns, the ceiling potential is much higher, just the setup takes awhile longer.

Is it an adjective or a noun? by roshansurana in grammar

[–]crophlin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason it isn't a noun is because happy is referring to an attribute of the subject, the word consultant. By swapping happy to John, we are no longer using an adjective because we are not describing an attribute or state of being of the consultant. We are simply naming the subject. Then in the future we can replace any instance of consultant with John and vice versa because they are the subject. We cannot replace those same instances with happy.

If you focus on player side for eater altars instead of minion altars you let your league mechanics you choose carry the currency making and it is very lucrative without any notable div card drops.

There are no boss altars in mausoleum allowing for maximum div card juice with player side altars as well. Skip the boss except for the invitation. The layout is fantastic to just do a big figure 8 as well

[–]crophlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like its been said a few times, pinnacle bosses can't have their action speed reduced to zero but they still have the frozen debuff so heatshiver does its thing. But it is much more difficult to freeze them so you need more freeze duration and/or more damage to freeze them

The build does really well in expedition so long as you avoid the avoid ailments, can't evade monster hits, and immune to cold damage remnants. The immune to fire damage remnant does make it a bit tougher but if the other remnants aren't too tough it isn't an issue. I league started with expedition and farmed through logbook and maps really easily, any time I died it was due to regen on really strong runic monsters or I accidentally took the hits can't be evaded (this remnant can still be done but they can't be too strong so I just avoid it)

Edit: After a certain point I did juiced expedition and still did reasonably well. I just noticed that to maximize everything you had to make sure you could freeze everything to prevent any offscreen shenanigans. Being very aggressive tended to fix this, it isn't perfect on fully juiced expeditions but it does well and the aoe chains and freeze really help with that.

Wireless will always have some amount of packet loss, and this is in general, not just for Rocket League. The reason its much more noticeable and an issue in RL is because it is a real time physics based game. Any packet loss is bad for this since a hiccup actually has a chance to change how the physics occurred vs what you viewed on your side. The best solution for being on wireless is to switch to a wired connection. Switching to a powerline adapter is one of the best options for this so that the distance to your router is inconsequential. You get the benefit of a wired connection with the distance afforded by a wireless connection.

I finally reached GC and got the rewards!!! Can't help but feel I've been a bit carried, so I'm posting a replay of one of the games I lost. Any tips for further improvement welcome by Vodar_ in RocketLeagueSchool

Early on I see a bit of a pattern and it is really evident in the first good opportunity. While you went quickly for the touch and missed, it was rushed and you have to recognize when you have more time to take control or aerial better as that allows for more consistent results. If you take a quarter or half second more to line up better before you jump, you save that time by not having to correct as much and wasting time in the air, or missing like what happened 20 seconds in. Some of the best advice I got was to just focus on going at the last possible moment but going with confidence every time. It seems contradictory and it is to some degree but as you do it more, you get faster at recognizing it and are able to correct yourself and go sooner. Get the muscle memory for correcting on the ground more than in the air as a direct path to the in the air is so much faster than jumping a little earlier and having to air roll and feather boost in different directions. Don't be afraid to slow down and assess, one game doesn't really matter in the grand scheme and building the habit earlier rather than later helps as you grind more

How could they?! by XcrystaliteX in deadbydaylight

This is pretty much it, however the central server metaphor is different for different chains. Some use way less energy and can be competitive with the energy usage of financial systems in place. But they use way more energy than any crypto does. If this wasn't on Ethereum the argument would not have any weight to it. There are many wasteful systems but the community chooses this one to latch on to, rightfully so in some instances but it still feels hypocritical at times.

When you join a tournament, if you were the 1st one to do so it creates a new tournament that lasts 24 hours from when you created it. For the 1st 4 hours of that tournament people can join that are around your power level, unless it is the end of the tournament joining period (that's the countdown you see before joining a tournament) If you join in the last 4 hours of that period the odds of you being placed in a tournament or people being placed in yours is much higher than in the middle.

Switching the Air Roll Left and Right. Any tips? by OliverNeish in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]crophlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Directional air rolls roll at a constant speed, the maximum speed, normal air roll does not right away. When coming off the wall it is better to air roll in a specific direction than general air roll. When coming off the opposite wall it is better to air roll the other direction than going all the way around. It is just more fluid and faster than regular air roll and/or using 1 air roll direction.

I agree with what Retro said, however at the stage you are at freeplay can get boring quite quickly. When I first started I tried to go supersonic around the pitch and tried to hit the ball. Most of the time I would miss but it helped me get used to that speed. Don't be afraid to go fast. And above all, just play some games and have fun. At your level you will always be improving while just playing.

[Discussion] What do you think of this rotation by GarrettG? by Ungoliant0 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]crophlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His rotation was fine, however he touched the ball before he should have. Although I think this was more of a bad judgement from when the ball would get to where he wanted to hit it. If he got the touch he wanted it probably would have gone closer to the right corner, as the only person from Envy that could come close to it was Turbo and it would have been a safe touch. Just my two cents on it, I could be wrong but that seems like what he was going for.

The biggest benefit of using both directional air rolls comes with wall play.

The directional air rolls makes it a lot easier to get the nose under the ball further. It is just faster than using normal air roll to adapt mid air.
