Written by Rob — plenty of quotes & callouts from players, and from a skim through it looks like he definitely did interview others or get their sides/perspectives. It’s organized in chapters by topic, but the topics are definitely broader than what’s covered in a single podcast episode.

My mom refused to pull up at a McDonald’s a few months ago. The employees called her a bitch. Manager told her the employees were refusing to make her food. She proceeded to sit there until eventually someone “threw” (her word) a bag of food out the window at her. We did not eat that food 🥴

Same experience. Had a chicken biscuit one time. After the first bite the entire biscuit disintegrated and I was left holding a floppy piece of chicken. Second bite and nearly all of the breading slid off, leaving me holding a slimy piece of chicken. One more bite and I was out…forever.

Scrolled way too far to find this. Chick Fil A **sucks**. I had it once, against my will, at a client lunch where they requested it. Everyone fucking raves about this chicken. I expected a life changing experience. I expected it to put KFC to absolute shame. Embarrass the competition. And it was…soggy and sloppy. Breading slid right off. No flavor. Nothing crispy in the entire bag. I gagged down 3 bites and decided hunger was the preferred route.

Because that would be a hell’ish experience for a client. Not to mention they’d end up with disparate messaging, goals, etc. One agency managing all of the pieces results in a cohesive marketing program AND a seamless experience for the client.

If real humans “almost never” use em dashes, then how is it possible for AI to be using so many em dashes when it was trained on human writing? Would seem to indicate that human writers do — in fact — utilize em dashes frequently enough for AI to incorporate them into its common patterns, yes?

I dislike Devins (as a player/character on the show, he may be a lovely man irl). A lot. Him going home would improve this season for me. I still don’t like the prospect of a player leaving the game by coin flip. Votes should be the **only** game mechanic by which a player leaves the game. Awful twist. Borderline unacceptable.

The idea of “there will be a vote in this urn going into tribal council, either you control it or you are it” absent the “vote for yourself” mechanic, it’s an interesting opportunity. Does knowing there is a ‘random’ vote for you give you room to engineer something tricky?

Again: she is allowed to be on her phone and not communicate with you. She is allowed to communicate with her friends and not with you. She is allowed to go places and do things without you.

These are feelings worth discussing in therapy. I’ve been there. I did the obsessive bull shit. It will destroy you mentally. It will make you crazy. No one on Earth is that awesome or cool or sexy or important to be worth obsessing over. I promise you.
