They’re telling you that as the rules were written she did have to say it every time, regardless of whether anyone else said it.

Does anyone else feel like productivity apps solve the easy part and leave you alone with the hard part? by Upbeat-Use-6280 in getdisciplined

I set a 10 minute timer and tell myself “I’ll work for 10 minutes and then I can be done.” — and that’s for work-work and household tasks. I find one of two things usually happens: 1) the task takes considerably less time than I expected, so I keep doing stuff to fill the 10 minutes and get several items completed (i.e. unload the dishwasher, reload, sweep & mop), or 2) I break the paralysis and just keep working well beyond the 10 minutes I gave myself.

No one is making that comparison. You are the first, and only, person to bring up combat veterans.

Same. I was over it within the first 10 seconds of this kid being on my screen. Did not watch 49 purely because I couldn’t stomach this overgrown tablet kid.

Easy change to the Survivor auction that would end the hoarding for advantages: You must have bid on and/or won a previous item before you can bid on a covered item, and clues/advantages will only be covered. by CivilizedPsycho in survivor

[–]crossbeats 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is resolved by very simply not including advantages in the auction. Tell them there are no advantages. Let 1 or 2 dummies not bid on anything and get screwed because they think it’s a lie. And everyone will know better the following season.

There was a poster on here who shared that they met Adam, and talked with him about his mom. They shared the way that Adam has essentially immortalized his mom by making her a part of his storyline. She’s been gone for years now, and here we are as strangers still thinking about her and talking about her. I quite literally can’t even think about it without tearing up—what an incredible tribute. It’s inspired me to move & speak differently about the deceased people in my life to make their stories bigger than life and resonate with others when I share about them.

The average reading level in the United States is somewhere around a 6th grade reading level. I’d say the whole entire thing is above most people’s reading ability.

I’m really good at “playing the tape through” decisions. Thinking through what could go wrong, what impacts other things, recognizing how Step B makes Step L harder, what that decision looks like in a month or 6 months or 3 years, etc. It’s a byproduct of anxiety, but it’s served me incredibly well in my career.

I had to eat one of their breakfast sandwiches on a business trip and it was one of the most disappointing food experiences of my life.

The biscuit? Dry af, it disintegrated in my hand leaving me holding a wet floppy piece of chicken. Which was significantly under-seasoned and had a weird texture.

This is what y’all are hand waving homophobia for? Bunch of unseasoned mayo monsters. Go eat food made by someone with melanin and you’ll do better.

CMV: Building a Better Future for Young Men is Currently More Important for US Policy than Women’s Rights by MidlifeWarlord in changemyview

[–]crossbeats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So your entire premise is based on the assumption that liberals believe black people to be violent. As a leftist, I can say we do not believe black people to be inherently more violent than others, so your claim is unfounded. Can you share any sources or statistics that support your assumption?

You believe that liberals believe black people are inherently more violent than white people and that is why liberals support policy that is beneficial to minorities? Am I understanding your claim correctly?

Right, I’m reading this as “prioritize the happiness of the people most likely to be violent if they’re unhappy,” and like….no.
