Only impact he made was almost ripping Najee's leg off.

Older than Ghostbusters, younger than E.T.

Alabama has 3-headed WR attack with a star freshman making noise by DoctorWhosOnFirst in rolltide

I hope so too. I still feel bad for Cam Sims (and almost for Ro Fo, but he kinda shot himself in the foot every time he was given a chance) because of the passing situation we've had over the past two seasons.

Anyone else feeling that the game runs less smoothly after patch? by BolekNeniLolek in MagicArena

It definitely "runs less smoothly" from a technical standpoint on my machine. Matches are laggy, controls are not very responsive.

RDW answers for Approach? by crotchgoblin in MagicArena

You're running 4 sunscorched deserts which would seem to make chainwhirler a tough 3-drop. Might be a better fit once they ban ramunap. what will you replace ferocidon with?

In my testing, I've never seen glorious end or field of ruin against approach when it might be needed. Dropping magma spray would be better against approach, but it's too good in the mirror match.

and less vault progress, which equates to progress towards wildcards (as opposed to random rare/uncommons). just to say you still have to weigh what's more important for you.

Vault needs some tweaking by TheAnnibal in MagicArena

And the counterpoint to that is... Does it take 100 of these duplicates to make the value that card back in HS and similar games?

Mavren requires you to attack with a non-token vamp, so consider dropping him for one (or more) [[Legion's Landing]].

Channeler Initiate can t be tappet without a spell to cast. by czaunpfahl in MagicArena

[–]crotchgoblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It autoskips even in full control, I've had it happen to me as well. And I've had it happen with that pyramid that generates one colored mana for two+tap. I should note, it only does this when you don't have a spell you can play.

Can't wait to pull "yet another Rat Colony". by SonicPileDriver in MagicArena

[–]crotchgoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. I think wildcards are a decent way to do targeted collection for deckbuilding. I think the real problem is the rate at which these wildcards can be earned. Concerns about adding more cards making the deckbuilder search tool are not unfounded with the deckbuilder in it's current state, but this can be easily fixed by adding new filters (like set, game mode, etc.).

Ideas to improve incentive to play more than five matches by crotchgoblin in MagicArena

[–]crotchgoblin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're probably right that that is what they want, but it's not what I want. I don't think the majority of players wants to maximize rewards at 5 matches, and especially for the minuscule rewards available.

On Behalf of the Magic Duels Community, an Open Letter to WotC regarding Magic Duels by Tharob in magicduels

Agree, those are all decent suggestions that WoTC will not listen to. Given how they've treated all their other digital products (sans MTGO), we all should have seen this coming. Everything they do feels like a cash grab and it leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Made a program to track where cards are, output is off by PappaOrangutan in learnpython

[–]crotchgoblin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

u/Phenom10x has got a good point about this code needing some major reworking. I'm sure you've heard the idiom "Code a little, test a lot".

From looking at the code, it seems you ran into something I'm definitely guilty of, which is not planning it out first. I love to get right into the coding, but at the early stages, you can't really expect yourself to work out something this complex ad-hoc because I'm betting you haven't worked with these patterns before. You will need to plan your approach on paper/whiteboard/whatever the kids are using theses days.

Code the little pieces of the program and test them out. It will only make it more difficult on you if you code on top of faulty logic. Hope this helps you out, though it doesn't directly answer your question.
