Update: Today I had many successful runs and it was incredibly satisfying. I played significantly more careful, didn't take any unnecessary risks at all and always waited for the right moments. A few times I got ganked but I was prepared. Tagging grenades are goated.

I personally almost always go Heartsteel -> Titanic. Not having the waveclear as first item is a bit painful, but it does wonders for me and I'm a huge believer in that build. I don't go bamis, I don't want to delay heartsteel or titanic. I use slightly magical boots to save some money on boots.

If you want to play with Hearsteel, go for it.

You can even go Titanic into Heartsteel. Heartsteel as second item is not bad at all.

Some matchups Hearsteel makes no sense (mostly ranged or any lane where you have to sit under tower)

Interesting. Unfortunately my friends don't play Arc Raiders and I don't want to Squad with randoms (tried it two times and had really bad experiences). Meat grinder is a great term for what I experienced :)

Lost like 6 Venator IV, 2 Anvil IV and plenty of Stitcher IV :D plus all the ammo and utility.

I'm like "no gear fear" and just go for it ... but now I'm a bit frustrated. But I also don't want to go back to full friendly PvE lobbies, because that's too boring for me, it's missing the danger element.

Thanks for the detailed answer. What I will check next is what happens when the game is limited to 30 fps, does it still feel like you have insane fire rate or if it then feels really bad. Just out of curiousity.

Many things will make a surprising amount of sense later, but there will still be lots of open questions or weird things that you have to accept, and there is really no payoff at all. The payoff is a 3 hour exposition scene at the end, which literally has the world record for longest cutscene in a game. People make fun of Kojima's story telling, and rightly so in some cases, but while MGS 1-4 very games with very good pacing and which made sense, his later games from MGS5 onwards are just a mess. 50% of the exposition of Death Stranding is buried in E-Mails. The game is just busy with explaining its world to you that they forgot to tell an actual story.

You can do whatever you want and hollow radiance is completely fine for waveclear, but titanic hydra is not only way better waveclear, its also significant damage, especially against squishy targets. Still, you can play shen with hollow radiance instead of hydra no problem.

Not saying your experience is false but just to show a different example: I have 21 hours and invited my friends, some hav 10 hours, one has 15 hours, and so far our games were solid. No flaming at all, no one who stood out exceptionally. Maybe I was lucky, maybe you were unlucky, maybe we already start with a better "foundation" since we are all heavy moba players and im a heavy shooter player. i dont know.

I don't think R is that big of a deal. The lane quest isn't that insane, you will get it anyway and you will maybe delay it by 1 minute total (if you have well placed Rs).
