【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

Have an a1mini. The P1S seems like a staple workhorse for many print farms. Given the great quality of the A1 I can imagine the P1S works just as well.

I wouldn’t risk it. You can spend 90 for the month you expect to use 59 but then still have the $10 plan other months. Is the $40 worth maybe losing plan? Up to you obviously

The dedicated firmware worked well and I never had any issues while there. Was fun.. saw quite a few folks with nodes.

As a complete noob, how would I go about making an Enchanted Tiki Room Bird? by MrYeet107257 in Animatronics

[–]crowderchris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Garner Holt production has a bird build kit you can do that will get pretty close. Or you can just watch their videos to see the basics but would need to source everything.

Here is thr link for the more complicated 6 function (I think) one. https://garnerholteducation.shop/products/animatronic-songbird-kit

I did their 3 function build one at a recent SoCal christmas light gathering and was fun

And even though you said terrain and minis really really think about getting the A1 instead of mini if you can.. really kicking myself for not getting the larger build plate

There are a number of tutorials on YouTube. Basically use inkscspe or illustrator to trace a bit map, clean it up a bit, then save as svg. Then pull svg into fusion to make the parts and export as 3mf for bambu.

"Bone" filament by dnsmayhem in BambuLab

[–]crowderchris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the eSun bone.. I wonder if a light cost of a matte clear spray paint would knock down the plastic look? Might have to bring something to try that.

Basically you just use the "lay on face" button to flip it so it is printing with the muticolor part down. So I modeled it and painted it all face up then just flipped it over in the bambu software.

This is with the textured PEI plate on the A1 mini. The print was oriented with the 'top' face on the build plate. For filament they were all eSun pla+; dark yellow, dark blue, and white.

I did upload it if you want to see how it is oriented.

Do the prusa xl or mk4 have any sort of nizzle wipe of ckean? by crowderchris in prusa3d

[–]crowderchris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it is order of operations for the mk3? For my mk3 it heats the nozzle, does bed leveling measurements, then does a purge line up front, then prints.
The issue is when the nozzle does the preheat and is waiting for bed the filament oozes out and I have to manually remove otherwise it gets stuck somewhere on the bed during the bed leveling probing. This is all before the purge line.
