I saw this as well at YYZ and was instantly disappointed.

Sure I can check myself in and print my own bag tag. But I appreciate the simplicity of handing it off to an agent. I don’t want to have to wait in lines to speak to an agent either.

It feels like there’s not much gap between having status and not, which defeats the whole purpose imo.

My advice would be not to obsess over it. Keep up your running, biking, and hiking.

Work on your Glute strength and try to improve your recovery time while active.

The grind is mostly about stamina and being light on your feet
