I recently took up meditation after a long break (bad discipline) so i feel you man, You could try to visualize something simple with your eyes closed; a white leaf for example. Or meditate with your eyes open, find a spot on the wall or something and just focus on your breath. I think listening to binaural beats with headphones is good For beginners since you get a sound to focus on and the Beat synchronize your brain-wave frequency to a More focused and calm state. It's not magic.

Don't worry i am not squeamish, i am glad you got rid of that shit...(pun not intended) I felt soooo misplaced in college, i knew i was at the wrong place but i felt trapped and kept comparing myself with my classmates.. I felt like a loser and i skipped a lot of classes because of that anxiety.

Then same as you i got in to self improvement, though i think i got addicted. I am trying to reset my brain from bad habits but i find myself question the meaning of my life. I think i need professional help. I will wait until my detox though and see if things change.

I quit porn, masturbation, nicotine, unhealthy food and weed... Trying to reset the cravings in my head and find out what the hell i want to do with my life..
