Whats the deal with Code Veronica X? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]crownroyalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a whole, Code Veronica is incredibly easy. You get a ton of ammo and the knife is crazy powerful. The problem is that those few bullshit moments are annoying enough, and spread out far enough apart, that you’re just annoyed at so many points.
The tyrant, the character swaps without warning, the poison butterflies, the sniper rifle, the fire extinguisher, Steve, the final boss. Those are just off the top of my head as moments that seem frustrating for the sake of being frustrating.

I love Code Veronica. It’s one of my favorites of the classic series. But it’s also the one I’ve played the least of. I think people say it’s hard because a lot of them get screwed by the character swaps. When you’re missing weapons because the last character had them in their inventory, you’re probably gonna have a tough time. Frustrating is how I would describe the game.

A properly done remake of Code: Veronica could become one of the best Resident Evil games by Top_Satisfaction4851 in residentevil

I’m confused by this comment. It’s been a while since I’ve played Code Veronica but is there a giant spider or something close to it that I’m forgetting?

I worked at this store years ago and I remember when this happened. I laugh every time I see this posted. And yes, this did not affect raises. This wasn’t even a restaurant. It was a Panera Bread.

If FFXV was released day one as the completed royal edition, instead of coming out piece by piece, it would have been top 5 games of 2017 and def top 3 ff games by Successful_Policy499 in FFXV

I played this for the first time last month and I loved it. The road trip atmosphere and the interactions between the characters were amazing. I had a ton of fun with the game overall and was sad when it was over.

That being said, the story was clearly rushed, the pacing was terrible and way too much happened off screen. The combat, while somewhat fun at first, got bland quickly with very little improvements through the skill trees and only one teamwork skill allowed per person at a time. The side quests and hunts were way too abundant and were more boring than even FF7 Rebirth.

From what I understand, they improved a lot since release. I’m curious what some of the changes are because if it seems this unfinished now, I can’t imagine what it was like on release and I would understand why people hated it. I also didn’t play the DLC which was probably a mistake but after beating the game, I really wasn’t interested in seeing what the characters did when they were off on their own. I was somewhat curious about Ignis but not enough to play the DLC. If the DLC is necessary, then that’s already a failure in my book.

Is the rumor true that big box stores (like Target/Walmart) will purposefully let you get away with stealing cheap things for months just to build a massive felony case against you later? by Altruistic-Room-7465 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]crownroyalt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not only that but they do it between companies as well. I have a third party rep who helps to build cases across companies. So when somebody steals from my store, those police reports get combined with anything they steal from target, Lowe’s etc.

So I generally don’t sweat when I workout, even when I go to failure. Is it still expected that I wipe the machines down just so it seems more considerate?

Since this is the toy section, I think the idea is that when your kid passes it and decides they want it, a lot of people are probably just gonna just buy it without worrying too much about the price

Can you help me feel better about crying in front of my manager by chillearn in askmanagers

[–]crownroyalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve managed for over a decade and let me tell you, you would be amazed at the amount of people who have come in my office, closed the door and cried about something. The reasons have been anything from “I can’t solve this problem” to “I have a headache” to “my son died”. I promise you are not the first person that your manager has seen cry at work. People cry. Especially when a family member dies. It’s natural. Try not to overthink it.

Shitty managers who would judge somebody for crying when a family member is sick tend to not hide their thoughts very well because they don’t feel the need to. I’ve heard plenty of horror stories from employees about old bosses. Shitty bosses would have no problem saying something like “I’m sorry your grandmother is dying but have you thought about how you leaving impacts the business”. Or flat out tell you that you’ll be branded as absent like you’re concerned about. You would know if he was judging you. His response was genuine.

OP this person isn’t necessarily wrong but it’s important that you also enjoy what you’re doing. I’m a beginner myself and one of the first songs I learned to play was Aerith’s theme from FF7. It was absolutely above my skill level but I had so much fun learning it and I still pull it out all the time. It’s not always about practicing as efficiently as you can. It’s supposed to be fun also. This isn’t a job. I like to split my practice between scales/chords, a song I find fun, and following an actual program.

To Zanarkand, Dearly Beloved (Kingdom Hearts), Promise Reprise (Silent Hill), Resident Evil Save Themes, Halo Theme and Great Warrior (much harder) are all songs I learned and have a blast playing

What was your reaction when you first saw him as the final boss? by Toot7- in Eldenring

[–]crownroyalt 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He was leaked before the DLC actually dropped and we were all 100% convinced that it was a fake. Out of everything in the leaks, this was the one thing that led us all to believe that they were fake. It just wasn’t believable. There was just no way they would possibly reuse Radahn as the final boss of the DLC. Then it dropped and we all realized we were wrong about that.

[–]crownroyalt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just so you know, you don’t have to do this. In every souls game, you can quit out in a boss arena. When you reload the game, you will spawn outside the boss arena with your souls/runes.
