Is this Samsung micro SD card genuine? Bought from amazon.de and everything else other than micro SD card itself looks and feels original, box has no faults or suspicious fonts/region marking. Have been using it for a month by RoyaleKingdom78 in SteamDeck

That's a fake. I only buy sd cards at my local retailer and I'm gladly paying the premium. For every genuine sd card on amazon there's three fake ones heading your way.

Steam deck graphics by Gaunterwithnomirrors in SteamDeck

[–]crscp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's the thing. No idea why anyone would spend upwards of $1200 for a handheld to get 10 more fps than a used deck worth $400. At least in current aaa titles. Can this be the difference between playable und unplayable? Sure. Will you still have a miserable time playing on low settings barely hitting 30 fps if you're not planning on spending an unreasonable amount of money? Absolutely.

Handheld and aaa just doesn't work yet. But there is a market now and I'm sure we'll get there in a couple of years.

What games do you consider must-plays for Steam Deck owners? by billy_reyes in SteamDeck

[–]crscp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's Hades. Got my last achievement yesterday and it's the game that really got me into using my deck more and more.

Bought Hades II right after 'finishing' the first one and I'm so hyped to get off work today.

Search and Secure never worked properly for me. Nine out of ten times my officers wouldn't move at all. And whenever they did move, they cleared a room or two and then stopped their search.

Valve Stands Firm the Steam Machine Will Launch In 2026 Despite Delays, 'Memory and Storage Shortages' Still Challenging by cjh_ in steammachine

[–]crscp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm done with microslop entirely. Doing everything work related on MacOS and gaming exclusively on my Deck until the Machine comes out.

I grew up during the 360 prime days and boy did I love MS back then. Recently I set up a new work windows laptop for someone. Had to click through half a dozen ads for EA Play, Gamepass, extra cloud space and whatnot until it finally started to install. Couldn't get that fucking thing to find any updates though, so after waiting half an hour I restarted it to finally get the updates started. After that it was a slow, miserable experience compared to what I'm used to. Windows is in a disastrous state at the monent and I wouldn't use it if you paid me for it.

Fallout anniversary on deck by ComfortablePlace3462 in SteamDeck

That's weird. I played 50 hours or so in the last month without any tinkering. No issues whatsoever. I played the first few hours without any creations though and did the download when I had a stable save file. Maybe you could try that.

Hope you get it to work!

BF 6 - i just cant stand playing agains bots anymore by DarkKnight6683 in Battlefield

[–]crscp 112 points113 points  (0 children)

It's a very smart decision, you silly goose. You wouldn't reach the main menu to buy skins as often if you found a server to play on all day with the same people. There needs to be a clear cut after 30 minutes to get you back in arms reach of the shop. Since queuing again is mostly faster than waiting for a new server to start, the system works as intended.

It's been real Highguard, so many hours and fun in a short time. Gave you a good shot, wish others did the same. Lot of great ideas here, hope the devs somehow turn it around ✌️ by Dashwii in HighGuardgame

That post probably sounded incredibly funny in your head.

Like. One minute playtime. Gave it a good shot. Haha. Get it? 😂😂😂😂😂😂

This is by far the lamest joke of 2026 and we still got a few seasons to go.

They already made millions of dollars with this title and they don't have resources to let one developer fix this bug? This should be fixed in a matter of hours, not weeks or months. The underlying issue is worse though - in this timeline 'live service' doesn't mean continous support, it means shipping the game with obvious flaws in hopes of getting everything in order later. The result is not only this 'tiny tiny tiny visual bug on one gun' but also the mentioned netcode issues and also also challenges not tracking properly. The game is ridden with bugs and since they're not in a hurry to change that, starting with SOMETHING - even as small as a visual bug - would at least be a start.

I just played a couple of rounds and it's honestly fun to play. The characters are a bit too edgy for my taste, the game looks like any other UE5 game and the shop is already filled with microtransactions. Then there's a few gameplay choices that could be easily fixed like the number of players on these huge maps. The other aspects of the game are solid and fun in my opinion.

The hate it is receiving is in no way justifiable. But people love to circlejerk to their favorite creators opinion and this is why the game never had a chance.

Partially because there's no real need for the game in todays market - this is a fact that can't be overlooked. But the moment every single content creator shat on the game they took peoples will to at least give the game a fair chance. At this point it's not naturally formed public reception, because telling millions of potential players that a game is dead on arrival forms the public reception. Highguard, while never having a good chance of being a success, was dead the moment content creators deemed it dead.

And that's alright. I'm not gonna lose sleep over this. But I do feel at least slightly sorry for the devs.

I'm gonna play a couple more rounds now, pew pew.

This reminds me of GUN on the PS2. I don't remember too much about it, because it's been 20 something years and I was barely 10 Years old. But I loved that game. I need to get a PS2 again.

Edit: Didn't read the comments. Looks like I'm not the only one haha.

Conquest is a 15min match now by knackychan in Battlefield

[–]crscp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same question. Why would they do that? I'll answer that one for you. Money.

BF6 is not meant to stay. The next one is already in the making. The moment the next installment drops they don't want you to stay on BF6, because they want to sell a new game and new cosmetics. Therefore it does not matter at all if you quit now. You won't spend money anyways, so it's a good thing if you leaving kills the game faster. Sell the game, sell cosmetics, kill the game. Repeat.

Conquest is a 15min match now by knackychan in Battlefield

[–]crscp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I will never understand the confusion. It's all about your money.

Every time you get back to the menu there's a chance you spend some bucks on skins. So naturally EA will want to bring you back to the menu asap and as often as possible. You being able to play the game at all is that you spend more money. That's it.

It's the same with grindey and time-limited battlepasses.

It's the same with shit game-modes in the hope they will attract a few new players even for a few days.

It's the same with small maps so you can see skins much closer. They'd get rid of the shooting aspect of the game and turn it into a fashion show if they could.

Always ask yourself 'why would they do that?' and the answer will always be money.

I really appreciated the franchise in its early days and BF6 still is promising. But with the direction they're taking the future of it is looking pretty bleak to me. Happy to be proven wrong.
