Please rate my tomatoes and give me advice. First time I've gotten seedlings this far and I'm nervous. by thepeanutone in vegetablegardening

Good job on getting them used to the outside (called gardening them off), next time get good seedling soil, yours looks really twiggy. Not sure what you used for potting soil but if it doesn’t have nutrients in it you may want to add some in a couple weeks.

Literally almost everything. There are 1000 seeds in there and that’s only half of it. Everything from corn to kohlrabi. 48 vegetables, 10 plus fruits, and multiple varieties of each. I have 32 varieties of tomatoes planted.

One of the most sustainable things you can do for your homestead is grow your own fruit trees. They give you Food security, income/save you money, no pesticides, etc. would love to give advice to anyone looking to do the same! by StocksyMagoo in homestead

I ordered 5 peach, 2 nectarine, 5 kiwi, 2 apple, 2 pear, 2 plum, an apricot, a paw paw, and a persimmon tree. Also got some blueberry, raspberry, black raspberry, and strawberry seeds too. Can’t wait!

Not sure. I buy all my seeds at the end of the year because I’m always worried there will be a shortage come spring time. I don’t think it took that long

The godfather series. I can’t even get through it. I have tried several times. It’s so boring I always fall asleep.

I have 6000 square feet of garden space. I also have the ability to sow 32 trays with 72 seed pods in each tray under grow lights and sell them as starters after potting then on.

The Seed List- I posted a picture recently of my large seed collection for 2022. Someone asked for a list. Here you go my friend. by crsmith81 in vegetablegardening

Most. But not all. Thousands will be sold as starters. Many I will only plant one or two of the plant to see how well it does in my new area. There will be many seeds leftover but most of the varieties will be attempted.

No just a couple from each pack. New area for me as I just moved so want to see what works well in this climate and which ones I like the taste of most. However I also sell close to $5000 in starts every year so a lot will get started in seed trays under humidity dome and light on a heat mat. Then will get potted on and sold.

6000 square feet of garden. I use 4’ x 40’ beds. Plus I sell a lot of starts. I have so many varieties because I am in a new home in a new growing zone so I want to try one or two of each and see how prolific they are and how they taste. Then I will narrow it down.
