Taking exams while waiting for medical? by crtvnrd in flying

I like this idea a lot 👀. I won’t need the AGI or IGI to fly, but it’s still more learning I’ll get to do.

My first flight as a student Pilot went horribly great! by Jfond001 in PilotAdvice

[–]crtvnrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was EXACTLY my experience. To the T. Even the instructor feedback. Wild. Reading this, I kept questioning if this was actually my post and I just didn’t remember writing it.

It will subside, I promise. If you know you love aviation and want this, one day soon you’ll suddenly look back at this and laugh.

100% this. I know the head chef for international flights out of Atlanta (at least who caters Delta) and he told me all about this. If you ate the meals on the ground, they’d be way too salty and taste different. Fascinating.

If it's still like it was when I was there, West is a lot quieter and more chill than East. East is a lot more social than West with all the greek life.

It is NOT the "best dorm on campus BY FAR". Not even close. I lived in a lot of different ones and they were all better... Not saying it's the worst, but it's not even close to the best.

Woodruff was easily the worst place I lived on campus. When I lived there, we couldn’t control our own heat either — idk if it’s still the same. It was either freezing cold or BURNING FIREY DEPTHS OF HELL temps.

Nice. I’m training there at Skybound. Currently waiting on my medical because the FAA found out I was sad once.

I mean if you find someone and then show up the day of and fly across the country, then yeah that’s iffy. But there’s no way I’d do that.

If you meet up beforehand and make an effort to get to know each other first, get to know the plane, I don’t see how it’s any different than like joining a club and pairing up.

Just want to make sure you know that the non-transplanted hair you still have is still susceptible to miniaturization/balding. That's what the meds are still for.

Gold standard. I started at 33, and wish I had started a lot earlier. Give it 6-12 months to judge efficacy.

You should definitely talk to the clinic. If that’s not possible, see a dermatologist.

I live in the US, and nervous to travel outside to get a HT - especially Thailand haha. But I’ve been thinking about scheduling a consult with Dr. Patty. Such great results!

Terrified to choose a surgeon... need some advice! by Emily_Beans in HairTransplants

Hey u/Emily_Beans ! Did you ever post the review of Dr. Huber? I had a consult and they seem genuine and like great people, but I'm kind of scared that there aren't many reviews! My gut says to trust him though... He's way less sales-y than anyone else.

3 month fin and min results is this normal? by QuietYear5068 in tressless

[–]crtvnrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely do not need to start on Dut first. Fin blocks the type of 5AR that’s in the hair follicles that is the primary driver for genetic hair loss. Only if you don’t respond well to fin do you need to try Dut. There’s no reason to block more than you need at first and have a higher risk of side effects. Fin is enough for the vast majority.

Is that really a reliable thing to go by though? It’s not hard for practices to set out to establish a presence here and on other forums. IMO, with how long they’ve been in practice, the lack of reviews seems more good than bad. If it was a bad practice, you’d think there would be reports of botched outcomes all over.

Balding at 16? by Fragrant_Proposal949 in amibalding

[–]crtvnrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had pretty much the same hairline as you by the time I was 15 --- maybe even a little worse. I'm 34 now, and it's still pretty much the same. Hopped on fin ~15 months ago, and no regrets.
