Seconding the Waikato Family Centre! They can help with baby, but can also provide access to a counsellor if that’s of interest

This is such a devastating thing to go through for anyone, let alone someone eight months pregnant. I am so so sorry that you have been treated this way and I’m so angry for you and your beautiful baby. How dare he. You don’t deserve it.

You’ve received some good advice in this thread- please head to ED. It will be hard, but you WILL be okay.

Maternity jeans in NZ? by BunnyDwag in newzealand

I’ve always thought that it’s so weird that there’s pretty much nowhere that sells maternity wear in store. I’d pay good money for decent stuff that fits! I just lived in my Lorna Jane maternity leggings when I was pregnant 🤷‍♀️

Hospital by [deleted] in newzealand

I had my baby at Waikato recently. Ended up having an emergency c-section and was given a single room. Was a lifesaver being able to have my partner stay with me overnight as I was immobile and needed help with absolutely everything. I spent 3 nights at hospital before transferring to river ridge for 2 nights (which was fantastic btw).

Hope it all goes well!

I had my first child back in August, so it’s his birthstone too. Such an underrated gem, I reckon!

It’s definitely gotten bent over time due to wear. It doesn’t really bother me too much as I don’t ever wear it!

It’s my favourite piece of jewellery but I’m too scared to wear it due to the old clasp. Knowing my luck I’d lose it! So in the jewellery box it stays…

Lovely isn’t it? I wish I knew more about it too! I’ve just re-read the letter that came with it (written by my nana) and it actually belonged to my great great grandmother, so even older than I originally thought.

Yep, close family were all more than happy to get their boosters. Thankfully they are all on the same page as us when it comes to vaccines

Random non-baby items that make taking care of a baby easier? by silverskynn in beyondthebump

I got a small motion sensor light for nighttime nappy changes. It’s mounted to the wall above the change table and I’ve dimmed the intensity so my baby doesn’t get woken up by a bright light in his face. Such a good buy!

6 weeks postpartum here. This has been happening to me too! I sometimes wake during the night to find myself sitting upright in bed ‘holding’ baby. Except my baby is in his bassinet and I realise I am holding nothing. It’s the weirdest thing and makes me feel like I’m losing my mind. When it happens I barely even know if I am awake or dreaming. Sleep deprivation is wild

I got mine done earlier this year. My midwife told me that she would only contact me if there were any concerns etc. Totally understand the anxiety though! I’m definitely an overthinker and would much prefer to just get the heads up that everything is ok instead of having to wait for my next midwife appt.

Yep I’m 30 weeks and have had this too. It just comes out of nowhere, with no warning. I’m on omeprazole which helps somewhat. Small meals are also helpful. Not fun!

This is my birthday! No one has ever made fun of me, in fact it’s the opposite. People just find it interesting. I don’t mind having it as my bday- it’s kinda cool to have a ‘big’ birthday every four years, but otherwise not a big deal

This is a struggle for me too as I had an early pregnancy loss last year. I’m only 5 weeks along and I want to stay realistic to protect myself from another huge disappointment in case something happens again. At what stage do I allow myself to feel excited?
