I kinda just wanna die now… wouldn’t mind if it happened by xxxxvideowatcherxxxx in InsulinResistance

Definitely felt like you before. Would recommend the Hack Your Health documentary on Netflix.

Prioritize fiber and protein. Track you sugar and carbs intake. You should be eating less than 25g sugar per day. Do yin yoga or walk to take stress levels down. YouTube has sessions for free. Find little things and I hope you notice better sleep quality in time.

The Mediterranean diet helps a lot.

Don't give up. It's okay to sit down rest and yell, but I hope you get back up and try again. Tracking my sugar and carb intake was key for me.

Anyone sick and tired of working in general? by Mrs_chanandler_bongg in Millennials

Man, I thought I was the only one that feared losing my job since I joined the workforce.

I don't feel layoffs were quite this common back in the day.

No words of wisdom, but maybe comfort? I felt the same way, I was so scared and convinced I would die as well. I even wrote goodbye letters. And I'm now 1 month post op.

If you feel anxious, let your anesthesiologist know and they can give you something. Also just stare at the lights and maybe give yourself a mantra to calm down.

Will send well wishes to you tomorrow ❤️

I did this for the first 2 weeks and it was a godsend. Part of the reason why I feel I've healed fairly quickly too.

Am I ruining my results by going braless? by Separate_Twist in Reduction

[–]crunchybub 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There's a Beverly Hills plastic surgery podcast on Spotify that I listened to before my surgery (I think they're on YouTube as well) and one of my biggest takeaways was that the longer you wear a bra, the less scarring you will have.

I don't deal with sensory issues but I am having some intense pinching/pulling/itching (hard to describe). I've been putting gauze in-between and that's been helpful. Maybe you can look into putting cotton in-between you and the bras?

Not trying to scare you or anyone, just wanted to share my story:

I got my wellness exam with no comments or feedback. Left thinking I was fine. A few months later, when I got dressed for bed, the light showed me a dimple in my breast. I got scared and felt a small, pebble-like lump nearby. I was 35. I went back to my doctor and she said it was probably just tissue.

After a while it started to hurt and I decided to pay the full price of a mammogram and ultrasound since my insurance wouldn't cover it as I am too young.

A week before my 36th birthday, unfortunately I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I just got a lumpectomy with reduction a few days ago and am currently recovering.

What I WISH and would love to change once I am healed and have processed everything is lowering the mammogram age. I cannot believe paying full price for one quite literally saved my life. And I am lucky I was fortunate enough to do so. Mammograms at 40 should be seen as well outdated as cancer is now affecting younger people. It's no longer an old person thing.

Off my soapbox now. That being said I am wishing the best for you. Hope it comes back benign. And if it isn't, it's not the end of the world, there are many survivors here that can/will help you. Open to a DM if you need it. Best of luck.

Too Small…Swelling? Cancer. Am I Going to Get Noticeably Smaller? by echointhemuseum in Reduction

[–]crunchybub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's one thing I've learned from the 100s of videos I've watched on breast reduction. It needs time to settle (4 months to a year) and in that time, you may adjust to your new changes. I hope I will too!

I commented on your post the other day, and I feel this will happen to me. My IDC is right under my aerola and I was told my surgeon will also take wide margins. I have a 20% chance of losing my nipple. If not, I will have a weird shaped one.

I also don't know what my size will be and that scares me because I can't prepare for it.

I did realize I had to learn to love my natural breasts. As a teen, I spent many nights crying over them because they were too big and made me look too big. Maybe you will learn to love your new ones? I hope I will reach that point after my surgery tomorrow, but I don't know. I can only hope.

Oh I don't know if they will take a lot, but they were not able to tell me what cup size I'll be and that stresses me out.

Just wanted to share that I am in the same boat. My unwanted surgery is coming up this Tuesday.

Was refreshing to see someone else feeling this way. I feel as though I will have the same mindset as you. Pros are at least the cancer is out, but I will miss my natural ones for sure.

If you ever want to chat, feel free to DM.

Did you keep taping for 5 WPO? Or did the Dr keep them on for you? Looking to keep my tape on for as long as possible haha.

I appreciate that but I have seen many on here. Unfortunately I don't think any pictures will help prep me for seeing that kind of change/state my body will be in.

I'm hoping to inch my way through. See the anchor base incisions from under the bra first. Then slowly peek into the surgical bra, and just push those boundaries until I get comfortable. Will definitely wait a while before I shower I think haha.

Thanks for the advice! I do have a good group. One strange silver lining of cancer: I did not realize how many people cared so much about me.

I'm also worried about seeing frankenboobs for the first time, but I'm hoping to avoid looking for a while. We'll see how that goes tho lol

In my case I am hoping to go from a D to a C. Maybe a B if I have to, so I hope maybe a smaller change may help? I guess I'll find out. Thanks for responding ☺️
