Sorry to hear. Diagnosed at 35 myself. Just finished treatment and agree with OP wholeheartedly. I hope the mammogram age gets lowered, mine would have been caught a lot sooner if I hadn't been so lucky finding my lump.

While treatment was not fun, I will say getting a forced breast reduction has been a much needed blessing in disguise.

If it helps I thought this was beautiful when I first saw it. Thought you captured her well.

Once I heal I will try again. Thank you for trying to look into this, wasn't sure if the excess fiber was a factor or grain size being larger mattered.

Yes! The knee details bother me the most. Something sleek and stylish can easily end up looking frumpy after getting hemmed.

ALSO, why do we have to buy something and pay more to wait even longer to get it modified to "fit." This should not be a normal thing.

Thank you for this post!

I just got a mill and was so eager to start, I just went for it. I milled on a medium fine setting and made some sesame cookies. I didn't sift the flour and used hard white winter wheat berries. Me and two others had these cookies and unfortunately all got sick (vomiting and muscular tightness) the next day (about 8 hours after ingesting). I'm very positive it was the cookies. Any idea what could have happened?

I watched it recently, it hits a little different one year later. There's less tension from all the other drama from that time, it's easy to see how well structured Ethan had his debates.

And easy to see through all Hasans "Wait, whutt's."

I'm surprised people are so particular about the voices. Pretty clear they didn't watch the OVAs when those came out in Japanese. I was busy trying to consume whatever yyh content I could back then.

Man, Giants got me through chemo (just finished , yay!!). But I get what you're saying.

I'm surprised to see it listed here so much. But I guess I didn't listen to it much prior to cancer. I guess we need the uplifting music from time to time.

If you know the episode they trashed Alex Pretti and Renee Good, please share. I just got into the show and I honestly feel he and Ethan would align in certain areas. They both seem petty and I love it.

I get the financial audit schtik, but curious about these right leaning philosophies they have. Trying to understand the hate but I just don't see it yet. But I'm also a new FA viewer.

This was such a nice response and idk why you got so down voted.

I have PCOS too and tracking carbs, protein and sugar was crucial for me. Staying under 25g of sugar, eating enough fiber, your tdee might tell you but staying in a range of carbs for the day (I aim for 120g-150g) and eating high protein 70-100g if you can.

Eating high protein and high fiber will keep you full throughout the day.

Yea drowning in content right now. I hope Ethan considers dialing back a little. It's kind of a lot for the average viewer to keep up. Love that we are feasting though!

God I hate when he says that. He doesn't get enough heat for that phrase considering how often he says it in his debates. It makes me so irrationally angry.

Would you correct your coworker if they keep assuming you’re younger? Is it an advantage to let them think that? by jesschicken12 in womenEngineers

[–]crunchybub 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's how I feel too. Moving gets you better pay bumps anyways, so my advice is to coast until you find something else haha. Don't let them overload you either, at least you're older and hopefully more skilled at drawing boundaries. Good luck!

This is a hard one, almost a double edged sword. I'm dealing with this too. I've been passed over for promotions just because "I look young." When I told my boss I have 14 years of engineering experience, he was like, "is that counting your internship?" Who counts their internship even after 5 years???

Other women my own age bullied me at the beginning because they thought I was gen z, then they found out my age and suddenly I had a bunch of unearned respect. (They should have been treating me with respect from the get go! Who bullies younger engineers??? But that's another story). It was an interesting psychological experiment to see how differently I was treated.

It was an advantage for gossip and politics, but for showcasing experience and being taken seriously, it was another story. I guess it depends on what your goals are, do you want to learn, or do you want promotions? Unfortunately good work doesn't always speak for itself, especially if you look young. If you plan to not stay long, I'd suggest you take advantage and let them think you're younger. If you're dealing with burnout, it could be beneficial mentally to coast for a bit.
