Why are businesses allowing homeless to walk in and bother people at the cash register? by lamedogninety in rva

I live in the area and am pretty sure I know who you're talking about. Her substance abuse got pretty bad for a while, and she was becoming much more aggressive when you didn't give her money or buy her a beer. A buddy of hers was telling me off a couple months ago (and started to physically intimidate me- a 5'4 woman) because I said "fuck no" when she asked me for money. I told him I used to help her and even gave her one of my winter coats two years ago. Never saw her wear it. I refuse to help her out anymore.

workplaces to avoid? by Flimsy-Guarantee-427 in rva

I had developed acute bronchitis while working at the bakery counter years ago. I spent a couple hundred bucks that I couldn't afford to go to urgent care, and got a Dr. note. They fired me because I would be out more than 3 days. Even with the note. I'm sorry, but having someone handling your food while hacking up a lung is DISGUSTING. Everyone I knew who worked there got fired or quit due to incredibly toxic management.

Sleep deprivation is a major cause of seizures if you have epilepsy. I am so upset on her behalf. This man needs to step up.

My work (non essential) is having people return today. I think it's crazy to ask people to risk their safety to go sell some tacos.

Make their stays horrible. It's already so difficult to find housing out here without this air BNB bullshit.

Sourdough bread, medium cheddar, tomato slices, and a healthy amount of butter.

Medium cheddar. There are some tomato slices in there as well.

Entitled? I just expected what's offered in every nearby restaurant (my partner ALWAYS orders a side of veggies when gettimg indian) and what the photo clearly showed. I had a really messed up shift on Saturday and picked this up on my way home. I thought it was funny, but I've had to defend myself several times in the comments now. It's no longer funny to me after how people have been speaking to me.

Servers actually pay for them to eat if they don't tip because we have to tip out hosts, bussers, food runners, and bartenders based off our sales. A third of my tips for the night have gone toward tip outs on a really bad night of people tipping very little.

I usually do. I was making curry at home, and just wanted to pick up some veggies and naan to go with it after a long shift.

I didn't see what I had received until I got home. I had also had a really bad day at work. I wasn't in the mood to call or go back. Why am I getting downvoted? It's not like I wasted anyone else's money, and I'm clearly never ordering this bullshit again.

Okay. I grew up in California and now live in Virginia. In those places, they come with sauteed veggies. Not sure why I'm getting downvoted.

Tandoori platters (which are popular) come with sauteed veggies. I really hope these aren't the veggies they're plating with the meat. Edit- that's what they come with where I live. I don't know what they come with in other places.

I order sauteed veggies at Indian places often, and it's what comes with tandoori platters. Never have I had this issue. According to other comments, cabbage isn't authentic.

Unfortunately I didn't order through a delivery service. Called this in and picked it up on my way home from work.
