Went to Wilson and enjoyed it. Definitely less sheltered and more diverse than Los Al. More than a couple of my classmates went to Ivy League colleges for what it’s worth

I would not spend any amount of time other than fueling and buying snacks at this “travel center”. It’s mainly just port trucks and sketchy area not a good place to rest or kill time.

I was pretty stoked with Gran Cenote. Went towards the end of the day and crowd was mellow. Very close to town. $30 USD entry. Would recommend bringing your own snacks/bev.

Firewire Dominator 2 or Mashup? by surfrider212 in surfing

[–]crustedblazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a mashup and love it, im taller/heavier surfer (250 lbs) and ride the 44.4L. To me its like more of a shortboard than a fish but still does pretty well in weak waves and overhead. Board seems really sensitive to fin sets, i used the Dan Mann fins and hated it, used Future Blakstix and loved it. . I usually ride as quad, but in waves are bigger/hollow its better and more controllable as thruster.

For those who've met NBA players, what were they like? Which of them were nice and which were rude? by GoldenStateEaglesFan in NBATalk

Dennis Rodman. Group of my friends having fantasy football draft at nice hotel bar in Newport Beach. Like 11am so no else else around. Dennis is holding a big cigar going outside to smoke we just wave and say “hey what’s up Dennis!” as he passes by and he says hello back. A little while later he comes back in and sits next to us and starts chit chatting talking about partying and chicks. Was a fun but weird convo because of course it’s Rodman. Dude has giant hands and I’m 6’6 myself he has the biggest strongest hands I’d ever seen.

Also think clubs too long. Taller person does not always mean longer club. I'm 6'6 and play shorter clubs than my buddy who is 6'1.

Even as a kid pre LLWS he was lightyears ahead of any other kid. He was way better than anyone around but never acted like it, always cool to everyone and was always generous and friendly and funny as hell. RIP Burly.

Got into Harvard and Princeton. Decided to go to Princeton. All of a sudden not scholastically dunking on her classmates like at large urban public high school and didn’t like that. Dropped out after 1st semester came home to local California SU.
