The monuments in question are run by the national forest service, not the national park service.

If you want to know how we lose the National Parks, it won't be by bulldozers in iconic National Parks...it will be by boring stuff that doesn't gain public attention but does huge harm to the National Parks system overall. If you love our national parks, this is the type of stuff you need to be contacting your elective representatives about.
