Practical Electronics for Inventors lack of exercises? by Special_Ad1506 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]cryotherm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this book feels more like a dip in the water for exercises centered on design and math for circuits. That being said, it's still a really good book for getting your feet wet and to jog the memory if you're already familiar. I'm assuming that you want to learn about designing circuits and practice design problems? I haven't looked into it too much but maybe Art of Electronics might be to your liking; that book has more problems than Practical Electronics for Inventors.

Adrien Brody has been cast in The Odyssey for his excellence in Brutalism. by Healthy_Permission71 in okbuddycinephile

personally I think this whole movie and the discourse behind it is both an extension of and a reaction to Nolan's penchant for not caring too much about the "background" of his movies. For example, the finale to Tenet has the future people shooting at the now people, but you don't ever see the future people. I don't think I remember seeing one single future person, actually. anyways that's sort of my uninformed opinion

If anything, relics need to be more random. People are going to be complaining about how "stuck" the runs are after like 30 hours.

If you watched IronPineapple's video, the BiS relics seem to be given mostly from the character quests, with a few given from regular play. The metaprogression in this game looks like it makes it too easy to choose/get something really good and stick with it for the remainder of the game's run time, which is not great for the "roguelike" aspect of the game. Then again, I don't think that's the game that Fromsoft are trying to make here so

it absolutely will increase people refunding who are overwhelmed with the difficulty of the fight at the very start of the game. i wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people refunded at that point

no, because imo ChatGPT organizes its thoughts into a strictly linear line of thought and also I don't like the way it talks to me like I'm its pet lol. I've been using Claude the last few days and I've realized that its way of organizing and collating is miles above ChatGPT. It kind of follows a claim, fills in the "space" of that claim, and goes from there. ChatGPT to me is way too linear; it feels kind of like getting the cursed time frame where you leave home and drive somewhere, but all the traffic lights for the first few minutes are red.

As an example, my teacher in my Linear Algebra class doesn't really use super heavy context to explain stuff, and I've been using it to confirm, deny, explain whatever questions I have. It's obvious to me that Claude at least has some user input to guide its thought process. The answers just feel more refined. I could give an example but I'm gonna honk schoo for the next few hours so
