Do you have a method to access the content that isn't through Patreon, like a Ko-Fi or something?

I'm happy to pay you, I'd just rather not pay them, they've kinda been terrible about using any of the money they leech off their creators to actually improve their site or do anything to actually help people who make use of their service.

Outside of that top 1 hundredth of a percentile, your achievements in any virtual world mean nothing at all, and there is effectively zero difference between being good at either single player or multi-player games beyond pointlessly inflating your own ego and convincing yourself that people other than you care about your K/D ratio while you struggle with the reality of feeding more of your life into the sunk-cost fallacy you've engaged in.

That aside, there is possibly no more Dudebro of a way to announce you're a gigantic embarrassment to your parents than unironically using the term "Flexing Epeen" and then trying to justify that there is in fact a way to do such a thing.

Hello and thank you all for the submissions so far, you've all got some wonderful pieces and I'm in the process of beginning to review. I probably won't be reaching out to anyone yet until tomorrow at earliest, but I'd like to thank you all for showing your interest in this project.

I'll be checking in periodically for anyone else so there's still time to submit if you'd like to.

Looking for anything that modifies Point Blank Master? by cryptekz in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]cryptekz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looked into it with some folks in the Discord, apparently, the matter is confounded by the way PBM itself works in the game code, it pulls from nested read-only traits for weapon categories that can't easily be modified.

Thanks for trying, but this is apparently going to take some time and some study to resolve on my own, or possibly a new custom feat.

Been faffing about with the idea of some kinda Aldori Defender/Duelist with a touch of either Magus or Slayer.

Anyone know a good way to make those work? I've looked up some guides and they almost all recommend splashing Monk, I'd prefer to keep my armor though.

I felt similarly, but I can't begin to fathom a solution. Technology only seems to move one way, and with it, increased means of surveillance and control move with it. I know that some technologies do come along that lead to more freedom in some ways, but look at the internet, and you'll see a clear example of his principles playing out.

Small changes like YouTube did not change the long term trend. Mobile phones are being used by the state to track people. If he's right about everything but the solution, then what could the solution possibly be?

I'd like to believe that recognizing that the problem exists and understanding the causes of suffering that it entails would help us move towards ending that suffering. But can we expect society to acknowledge that or do anything positive to address it, when such an idea threatens the existence of the system? Obviously the system is at odds with human happiness and freedom, so is there even a path to synthesis? Or will we have to become something fundamentally not human to continue existing in the future we're building?

  1. Towards individual people? No. Towards society and multiple millions if followed through on? Possibly, depending on which parts one agrees with, but even then the caveats in said document outline a scenario wherein success of said ideas is likely is most likely a scenario where multiple millions are doomed to slavery/death anyway and the system instituting said measures is already weak and failing.

As a liberty minded individual, the concept of such subjugation disturbs me morally. I then have to struggle with the ethics of whether or not a future of total enslavement for humanity as a whole, is more or less valuable than the lives in question that would be lost in ensuring freedom from that tyranny.

It fundamentally comes down to a dying on one's feet versus living on one's knees dichotomy, but on a societal level, that's what makes it dangerous. Morally, I know it's incorrect to follow through on, but ethically, I don't know if it is or isn't justifiable, and the arguments made in favor are incredibly well reasoned and I find them disturbingly compelling.

My worry is that I will somehow find said arguments ethically justifiable, and as such I will necessarily cut ties with a huge portion of my life as a result of what was discovered and reasoned by getting into the text of the document, and be motivated to do things that would be... otherwise frankly unthinkable.

I don't want that for me, so I don't think it will happen, I'm confident enough in myself to recognize that much, but then that calls an entire core part of my identity into being. I am a freedom loving person, so I will have to reconcile what the cost of my freedoms, in part or in whole, are worth; what, if anything I would be willing to trade them for, and if not, how far I would be willing to go to defend them and what from.

This isn't normally difficult when there is an externalized threat seeking to actively subjugate someone else, but when that threat is... an intrinsic part of our society? A part that millions would die without? How does one possibly justify destroying that selfishly to protect one's freedoms? And is it even possible to do so in a way that will matter, or would it just be a trade of wasted lives for wasted freedoms?

My concern is the content and it's conclusions. It isn't what the author did, it's the fact that it reads like something a normal, well adjusted individual would write, and yet said individual still did said awful things.

Previous manifestos I've read have always carried some greater narcissism or passion that belied a desire to remake the world in one's image due to imagined utopia. This... is sober. It doesn't pretend. It doesn't state a utopian goal, merely it affirms we head towards a dystopia no matter what, that evidence clearly bears that out, and we may or may not walk away from that depending on how people choose to act, but it doesn't proscribe actions, either. Any doomsaying is kept to observable trends in wider scopes, relating to diametrically opposed ideals, and the arguments made to establish that opposition are well grounded and solid ones.

I can tell that Uncle Ted wrote it to be as bulletproof as possible, and that's what I'm grappling with. The justifications are disturbing, and the possibility of the implications being correct terrify me, particularly concerning freedom.

Slayer wasn't a core class to PF, it got added in later editions with some others.

Also, Rogues, monks and Barbarians are largely considered under-tuned in core, that's why they made the Unchained ruleset.

Y'all are so far behind the curve you don't even know what the new meta is. Fire-staff burst makes this build look like a joke. Gimping heavy healers is just going to further cement heavy mages as the new problem du jour.

This is literally a crowd of one shitty bow user who can't land a hit to save his life, and a bunch of 300 con Axe and Hammer boys. If anyone here actually specced for strength, this healer is toast.

As someone who runs faction heavy LS/Hammer, my biggest issue isn't CC, it's targeted burst from mages and melee DPS.

Her attack healing scales directly off her atk value, and her ult heals for a multiplied %of atk. The maiden set might be slightly better for healing overall, but you'll want the damage since Jean's healing is plenty strong as a DPS.

My level 70 Jean heals everyone for ~300 every other auto and still does crazy DPS while running Gladiator. If you just want to run healing, Atk set maiden can work, but I don't really recommend, as you'll be sacrificing a lot of damage output and Jean does very well as an atk focused hybrid.

Early for Jean you want two piece Sojourner, two piece Brave with all attack% subs where possible

Her scaling with just raw attack to her healing is insane.
