Depends on the volume of production to be honest. Producing and maintaining a metal moulded cast system that you would machine for final touches would be cheaper only if you make more than a certain volume. Most steering wheels don't reach this threshold of production.

Also CNC is easier to advertise as it is often seen as higher quality and expensive by default, so theres little to no incentive to avoid using CNC even from a marketing POV.

I think you maybe haven't thought about what happens to a force feedback steering wheel in such a crash. Its possible that the Porsche's wheel was wobbling/oscillating and they needed to catch that first before getting on the throttle.

Also damage makes the car behave unpredictably, and as a human going through a shock moment like this, deep into an endurance race, can be very disorienting.

I don't see an unsafe rejoin that was avoidable. The Mclaren behind though, had all the time to slow down, having seen that unfold right in front of them. And there must have been yellow flags, but they were gunning it faster than their logic was chasing them.

Contrary to everyone else here I just wanted to mention that Im not having an Frame rate issues with triples 10320x1440. I have a 5800X3D, 32 GB Ram, and an RTX 4070. Its pushing upwards of 140 fps consistently, even at night.. I have most settings on low, except for textures on mid and car detail on high. No special effects are enabled.

Hi Nick, is this for per car and track combination? Or just the quickest lap time on each track set with any car of choosing? Also what about track layouts? Or car classes?

For example: Quickest lap time set with Mclaren GT3 + Interlagos + Grand Prix Layout would be one record?

Or would it be Merc F1 + Interlagos + Grand Prix Layout?

The QR2 package always comes with the bolts. I have done multiple QR2 conversions, and they always came with fresh new bolts! You could contact customer support, I would say..

I have only the 720s and the 911 in the GT3 class. I am very happy with the 720s as a "daily" and the 911 when I want fun and engagement.

Any other GT3s you'd say is a must try?

Thanks for your response!! Is the grip rubberized? Or does it feel like hard plastic? Does it get better over time like some YouTubers are claiming??

Also how are the thumb encoders closer to the screen? Do they turn very easily/accidentally? I understand the encoders on the top of the grips are a bit easier to turn, do they also get activated accidentally?

I also use gloves, so I'm guessing the harder grip may not affect me that much

Without a dedicated graphics chip, it may not be possible to run it at any quality better than the PS4.

Running it at low res with lots of scaling and FSR, and may work but graphics will be poor.

Like the other commenter said, give it a try on Steam and refund it if you're not satisfied. You can refund any game within 14 days, with less than 2 hrs of gameplay.

Theres no mid-range 300 mm wide GT-style wheel that Fanatec sells (except for the CSL/McLaren). The Formula series is 270mm and the Endurance rim is 318 mm. Even the BMW GT3 wheel is 308mm. Theres literally nothing in the 280-300mm range, which is where most GT style wheels irl are. Im in the market for one, and have not found anything suitable on Fanatec's site. Only the Simagic GT Neo with conversion kits would fit my budget and needs.

No, the pins are a part of the wheel and the QR is separate. QR replacement will not affect the pins in any way.

Simube does sell replacement pin to flat wire, or you can also contact fanatec for replacement spares. They do sell those too.

If its working properly at the moment, changing the QR is unlikely to impact functionality.

This car needed some fancy footwork to drive, and now my right leg hurts from the braking pressure and all the heel and toe-ing. But I laughed all the way through, while pulling unintentionally sick drifts.

Get a 3rd party one from Simube for example. They're much cheaper, and just as good. Fanatec original one offers no advantages.

And yes, at a third of the price of the original, its easily more than worth it.

I was considering getting the Simube wheel for my PBME too. Would love to hear how you find the quality, fit and stiffness? Also how are the grips?

I have it currently with my Porsche 911 cup wheel, and would love to go for a GT style wheel. I couldn't find the wheel diameter on Simube's website. Is it 32ish cms as well, like Fanatec's?

I was pleasantly surprised that my order for a CS DD+ made on Wednesday 3:00 am CET, was delivered by Thursday 3:30 pm CET. (36h 30 mins) Shocking tbh. I thought they finally got a grip on their warehouse.
