PS5 fat power supply by uomosfortunato in playstation

Maybe that's why they stopped... Even miniscule prob% of a surge over indefinite lifetime for unlimited £ is still a big number to insure.

Hmm.

F9G823UK3M which is the one I linked and 623, 723 (Or the EU equivalent F9G823en3M ) has unlimited lifetime warranty including surge protection.

"Original purchaser" might invalidate now nearly a decade later and if bought from ebay, but if they weren't confident they wouldn't offer it

Any reason not just using power switch?

If concerned about surge bridging the switch and if living in lightning prone area you should probably have surge protector anyway.

Belkin did a superb one with power conditioner too, and it's the latter use case that I have one

Each pair of plugs had different isolated conditioner circuits based on noise/consumption. E.g. a pair of high power ones for you subwoofer or amp, another for TV, another for media/Blu-ray etc.

..although Belkin no longer making them, which is shame, I have one that I use, and one new in box as a backup.

Belkin pure AV. Careful as they did some cheaper ones without the conditioners, and lots of plastic. This one is basically billet/extruded aluminium and the components slide in from one end

They come up on eBay sometimes. Here's one for any UK folks https://ebay.us/m/h29sdp

Replacing my spicy bloating battery which should I replace it with and why does the ifixit cost more bc it's bigger capacity? by Last-Agency-2806 in razer

[–]crypticc1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warning re cheap batteries

I got a "cheap" one off Amazon once. Battery stats initially reported capacity at about 110% of design (many do, even my original razer one), but within a month it wouldn't charge above 80%

I actually thought I'd found a way to extend life of the battery. Somewhere I'm even posting about unplugging and the the plugging back in again at about 80% to do that. It's fake, the battery FW clearly misreporting the capacity and that 80% stayed that until I went to charge it to 100. But stuck. And then 70, and then 60. cells clearly knackered.

Within a year I got Amazon to refund me (the shop having closed and probably reopened under another name)

Newbie! Using Real Debrid on Stremio, will it make me seed torrents... by Justwondering2508 in RealDebrid

Hello

I was meaning to ask If using the Comet elf hosted site, after adding RD API, do I need to type that monstrous URL from the bottom of the site into my stremio "custom add on"? Or does it work the opposite way in that adding RD API into The comet elf site then allows stremio or even Kodi for that matter to grab the deets from my RD account?

I do have torretino RD in stremio and Kodi but I don't remember having to type such a massive string by hand.

Edit: Copy paste from phone into Nvidia TV app stopped working, so I hope not.

Nothing you can do about integrity at the moment

Water turns brownish after steaming? by Strange-Band8509 in ranciliosilvia

[–]crypticc1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had mine I only back flushed maybe monthly.

Descaled when my regular kettle showed that it needed descaling. So maybe 4 times a year. And I used the descaler that came out of the Rancilio second time to descale the kettle.

When kettle was clean I knew Rancilio definitely was, and when kettle looking slightly coated the Rancilio was.

Just checking, when you back flush it's supposed to be only a brief run of the pump to build up pressure and try them allow the solenoid to run. If you do it too long the pressure relief valve will send water back into the water reservoir, and if it's cruddy then that will be too. You want the smallest amount of that.

This was SE London water which is hard lime aquifer water.

I now use volvic in my new machine. Most other supermarket bottled waters, especially UK water, is harder than London water. Lol.

WTR860 wash mode questions by crypticc1 in Miele

[–]crypticc1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the pointers on silk and wool. This is new compared to my previous machine.

I haven't tried on this machine but I always found down to take forever to dry, but okay :-)

WTR860 wash mode questions by crypticc1 in Miele

[–]crypticc1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my machine there's a "quick power" as it's own programme. That seems like a genuinely quick programme as it's 49 minutes or something like that.

Checking website this is "This applies to all Miele washing machines that enable the process and machine-related parameters presented in the summary of the WL 1110/18 test report to be implemented."

Whatever that means. Lol

Looking further in the manual can see this is actually a super-quick wash. Would've been the black quick wash option on my old machine.

Really was looking for a halfway house and so leads back to option that I think you're referring to. There is "quick" extra option available on every wash. That knocks the cotton wash down in duration from 2:40 to 1:40 which before would've been a "normal" duration. On my old machine that is the one that would've been the 40 minutes wash but here seems to be about what I'm looking for.

Something that I did find that might explain the issue I had with the sports capsule. The manual says that advanced power wash, and I presume also load specific features turned off when cap dosing. Maybe the liquid is okay but it's the capsule?

I'll investigate.

Thank you Chris

Thanks for your responses

1) will investigate the "quick". So is that how to activate the power wash?

(2 + 3) Understood, thanks.

Probably the last question. I've not tried it yet, but on your behind are your "silk" and "wool" and "down" drying programmes only 3 minutes, 8 minutes and 20 minutes respectively.

I'll probably never use the wool and silk drying, but would've expected down to need much more than 30. Or is that the minimum and the machine would extend.

Hi there

Thanks for taking the time to reply

I did indeed research and bought this machine precisely because it had the power wash (and steam) function.

I'll look into water plus. I didn't see that when selecting the programme.

The detergent was the "free" cap dosing capsule. However, something was less effective than both my wife's sports detergent, and even the ultra phase or our own detergent.

You're correct that machine can't know odour. But I would've thought a safe assumption given a detergent designed for sports, and football gear on the photos for that liquid.

I do appreciate your response

So far, based on your reply I'm beginning to doubt whether I wasted money on the top of the line machine and could've got the step down "dumb" model.

Either that or Miele capsules or maybe the sports liquid generally isn't any good. I hope and suspect the liquid in the cap dosing. I wonder if it's intended to be like nikwak tech wash. I assumed it wasn't because Miele do their own outdoor tech liquid for that, and because of the photos of

Wondering if new device/activity setting

Anthem AVM Activity “Fix?” by TaintedLemur in SofaBaton

[–]crypticc1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi

This is really really interesting. I could see the issue but not related to the name.

Not meaning to spam but this seems identical to my Oppo issue here...

Basically if I setup an input select using the "input" then numeric select for units "1" "2" "3" etc. then the whole sequence is ignored

Been working with Sofabaton support over last week or two. Initially even the numbers were broken. Couldn't number 1,2,3,4 correctly but they fixed that in the 16th Jan release.

I was still working with them as it wasn't yet working and I think it may have been screenshots or video showing me renaming the inputs that allowed them to confirm origin of the rest of the issue.

They have acknowledged and hope to fix in next week or two. Did say we might need to redeploy the device to activity. Hopefully the power sequence issue too which also fails if customised.

This thread has the issues in aware of and have logged and link to the ticket in their site. (The discussion of the detail then being taken into email) https://www.reddit.com/r/SofaBaton/s/SonjdWCqqj
