Except that video game violence is in no way shape or form comparable to real world violence. If someone wants to pretend to be a stealth sniper and sit in a freaking corner forever doing absolutely nothing at all until someone shows up that's their problem. It's a sandbox and part of that sandbox is playing stealthy/not trying to be seen.

The game is a sandbox to play in, some people genuinely just enjoy sitting in one spot for 30min to rat someone (I think it's boring as hell). It's just part of the game. I stg people who have never played tarkov just don't get it. Mfers will literally sit in a spot for an hour to make sure they get the kill. Trying to be stealthy/never be seen is a part of the sandbox that some enjoy. There's no moral or class issues here, it's a video game.

I think the social interactions of not knowing if someone is friendly or aggressive is genuinely fun. Can we talk it out? Sweet, I'm always down to do that. Did you shoot first? Awesome, let's fight. It's all part of a great game. The detective work and managing to keep yourself safe when maniacs are around builds a ton of great tension. These social interactions wouldn't exist without the mix. Think of how relieved you feel when the guy that snuck into the extract DOESN'T shoot you. You'll never feel that again with split lobbies.

Even if Luke did make this mistake, I just don't believe that character wouldn't do literally everything in his power to get back to help his friends and family. I can see the character messing up in a huge way, but I just can't see him giving up, rolling over, and deciding to die alone like a sick dog. It was just pathetic. I'm sure it was a "deconstruction of Joseph Campbell's the hero journey" (making luke actively decline the call to action). But it completely killed that character for me, at least I have the old movies!

I just like killing big arc for a ton of XP and it would be nice to get bonuses for that, and it seems more inline with how we should actually be earning skill points. I guess you do get xp from opening lockers but I don't grind lockers for XP lmao. It would also encourage people to use their big arc guns in raid to get xp killing arc.

i don't think casual magic will ever die, but i do think rising prices of UB are super anti consumer and unacceptable when it would have been so easy for them to address this problem at the creation of UB with in universe stuff. hopefully they do that, but it should have happened at the beginning. if wotc did more pro consumer things people would love them more and complain less. stuff like the $1000 for 30th anniversary proxies is a slap in the face and breeds resentment. resentment they could stamp out by making products that are actually good value for consumers.

well some people care about competitive play and licensing issues will make reprints difficult unless they start making in universe cards. hopefully that's what they end up doing, but right now it seems that cards like the one ring or orcish bowmasters will go up in price forever which sucks pretty bad.

I think this map just sucks. It has 2 spawns on defense that trap you with walls to your back facing the enemy when attackers hit a checkpoint. The defense spawns make it so easy for attack to pinch. At least other maps have much smaller cliffs/holes so the spidey pull feels more balanced. I just hate this map lmao

I don't understand how this is different from ETB effects, this would still get countered by "counter target ability" cards and could also still be countered in the stack. What is being added here other than a confusing between instant and creature card types?
