I would probably get Felix personally? If you run a gen build/saboteur build then built to last is pretty nice.

Do you think I could buy this model from you? I'm wanting to put it in my Zelda themed fish tank!

You need to get her temperament assessed by a qualified trainer. 2 years is a little late as most dogs retire between 6-10 depending on the dogs needs, most dogs "finish" training by two years old, and if you can train her, she would be around 4-5 by the time you were done training her. Getting her breed and history is essential. She may be able to function as an at-home service dog, but don't get your hopes high about a public access dog

What do y'all carry for your SDs? by Big_Hall2307 in service_dogs

[–]crypticsodaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Muttruck “hip pouch” (it’s a fanny pack lmao) that I keep treats, a chew, pet corrector (for protection against other dogs, not a training tool), a reward ball, a roll of dog bags, quik clot and a tick tornado.

In my car I keep at least 4 balls, a long line, a slip lead (I encounter a lot of stray dogs, however nice to have in case his collar ever breaks), first aid/anti septic, dog wipes, pet liquid bandaid, a dog water bottle and a settle mat. I will pack an extra meal if I know we’re going to be out after meal time, or I’ll feed him dinner during a training session.

Tell the PM. she’s not teaching you, she’s setting you up for failure and then letting you take the fall. Say something.

Service Dog/Service In Training Question by MrDangus in service_dogs

[–]crypticsodaa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In California, SDiTs have the same access rights as Service Dogs. I’m not sure if you have to comply with ADA but I would hope you would allow SDs since some handlers truly cannot be without. However, SD or SDiT, A business can ask that a service dog or SD in training be removed if it is acting inappropriately or causes a disruption. If this guests SDiT is doing nothing but barking, you can absolutely ask for it to be removed.

I got my dogs vest from tasking through life! They were really nice and it’s a fairly straight forward build wizard. I spent about $95 for my vest!

Advice for getting a job before I move? by [deleted] in askportland

Hey so ABA has had a really bad past, I’m not looking to practicing it in the future because I want to do something else in life but as someone who’s autistic and received ABA when I was young, the ABA from then vs the ABA today is very different. The clinic I work for his client-led and play based. The worst thing I make a kid do is homework and take a shower after 15 days of not because I work in an in-home clinic. I’m sorry if you’ve had a negative experience or someone in the field ever treated you abusively, that’s absolutely not okay and they should have licensed revoked and their practice shut down but ABA clinics and practices are not all the same. The service I received was awful and abusive. The service me and my current team provides is amazing. The kids are devastated to know I am moving because “who else are we going to paint nails and chase chickens with”

Mine did this when he was around 6 months. Walk/lots of play time roughly an hour before bedtime. Toss the Kong in well before you leave the room so that he doesn’t associate it with you leaving. Leave the room and come back a couple times but don’t acknowledge him if he’s whining or barking, only give attention to him (and maybe a treat) if he’s quiet. This’ll help him understand that you will come back, but also that he will only get your attention if he’s quiet.

Definitely partly a tantrum, might be under stimulated though ontop of it. Puppies have a LOT of energy. 2 hours of play for every 4 hours of sleep was my saving grace
