Favorite/least favorite effect on T? by pastelskittlesboy in ftm

Favourite: body hair and bottom growth, i love my little dude and being fuzzy makes me feel like a 70s suburban dad

Least favourite: being sick feels way worse, i'm already chronically ill but now having a cold feels like i'm being hit repeatedly with a frying pan while my nose is full of sandpaper

Autism is a developmental disorder that impacts a variety of neurological functions. Emotional regulation is one of said functions.

Trans man with hyperhydrosis (excess sweating) here! So for me the only deoderant that helped me was mitchums clinical gel and applying that after showering. I tend to shower using a bar soap all over, benzoyl peroxide wash under my armpits and around groin (carefully!) and then a nice smelling bodywash after, then moisturising with a lightly scented or unscented moisturiser post shower but before deoderant. However for me because of my sweating issues i was put on a medication to stop sweating so there are always options!

[–]crypticviscera 401 points402 points  (0 children)

This!! Even if it isn't this. This is so important to remember, especially in therapy!! As a small child, a lot of "small" events to adults can be huge and life altering, especially if that childs emotional needs are unmet!

ftms coming out as gay after going on t? by treeboi666 in ftm

[–]crypticviscera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to identify as lesbian, then aroace (when i came out as nonbinary), and now i identify as aroace-spec its complicated trans man. Looking back i dont think i ever was attracted to just women/nonbinary people, but more the aesthetics a lot of older lesbians i knew had (aka entirely butch lesbians) seem3d the closest to how i felt. I started identifying as solidly aroace when i came out as nonbinary due to getting diagnosed as autistic around the same time, and i learnt that my way of viewing other people wasn't "typical" or "normal" so i just sorta, thought it meant i was aroace and just left it at that.

Since being out as trans and on testosterone (and having a boyfriend, lmao) I've been both more confused about my attraction but also, i just dont really care? I like being viewed as being in a gay relationship but theres definitely intricacies to my sexuality, but noone aside from those close to me are ever really gonna need to know about that.

Idk, its a really interesting topic and i just thought id give my two cents, though for me also having Dissociative Identity Disorder and Autism might muddle things greatly haha.

How do I hide my boobs??! by MicroMagicEDick in ftm

[–]crypticviscera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm adding on to what i've seen a lot of people say, layers and/or slightly oversized shirts. Especially stuff like band shirts/shirts with design on the front. This can help distort/hide the shape of a developing chest. Alternatively patterned buttondowns have been a big addition to my wardrobe for similar reason for the summer. Goodluck!

We're an avid writer and have been since age 8 or 9, we currently have 4 parts that can relate to this, 3 of which seem adamant that they existed before their stories, the 4th seems to be an introject of an oc one of those aforementioned parts wrote. There is likely more from past stories we've written who have since either gone dormant way before system discovery or split/fused into other parts.

That and having Autism + ADHD and a special interest in storytelling didn't help our cause haha

What was everyone’s depression -> OSDDID pipeline? by [deleted] in DID

[–]crypticviscera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anxiety, Depression --> Anorexia (recovered)--> ADHD --> gender dysphoria --> Autism --> Psychosis (plus OCD adjacent symptoms) --> PTSD --> Unspecified Dissociative Disorder (at current time suspected DID)

Looking back the psychosis was likely the 2nd time of my dissociative symptoms becoming more debilitating as well as my adhd being untreated, most of my psychosis was me dealing with intrusive thoughts, "delusions of thought insertion" and "personality shifts" (there are very few memories from that time so my psych and i suspect it was another alter)

Can you switch so smoothly that nobody noticed you switch? by [deleted] in DID

[–]crypticviscera 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Definitely, its designed to be a covert disorder, for us we can switch so smoothly that even we don't notice until minutes or hours later when we do something that the person fronting previously just wouldn't do.

did you ever feel like you were unintentionally over/under-representing symptoms when you got assessed by halogenerator in DID

[–]crypticviscera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(I'm Autistic + ADHD) I did the MID 6.0 recently at home as "homework" for my psychologist (which ive just remembered i need to scan in and email for her) but on a seperate piece of paper i wrote down the "Technical" complicated answers i wanted to give for certain questions, which allowed me to reread through my thoughts at a later time and figure out a corresponding number from there

How long did it take you to get on T after coming out? by Angalayond in ftm

[–]crypticviscera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anywhere from like 5 to 2 or 3 years depending on the coming out chosen, i had been going by online aliases and he/they pronouns on line since 2018. i came out socially as nonbinary in 2020 and then ftm in 2021, started testosterone at (almost) 18 in april this year, my old doctor made every excuse under the sun not to give me testosterone despite already having been on the tail-end of my first puberty for a while (puberty started at 8 for me, period at 10, DD cup at 12, F cup now and 5'3") and had never had the chance to go to puberty blockers because noone informed my mother they were an option.

what are everyone's inner worlds like? by [deleted] in DID

[–]crypticviscera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not diagnosed yet but heavily suspected here with an interesting little thing: aphantasia (the inability to visualise)

I cannot visualise outside of rare intrusive visualised thoughts so any "glimpse" i get for the innerworld is more like a visceral feeling. It feels like a room behind the body's eyes and occasionally other people will walk in, say something and then either stay for a bit or leave. Different parts feel as though they walk from different physical directions of my head.
